Packaging
The Maybelline Colorshow Eye Pencils come in a sleek black retractable pencil form with a color coded cap. I’m so glad Maybelline was thoughtful enough tohave color coded caps as its such a pain identifying a particular color. The cap shuts tightly and will not come off in your bag making it travel friendly!

Shade
Maybelline Noble Purple is a very beautiful dark aubergine/purple eyepencil with purple shimmer. It sort of has a brown-ish hue and will look gorgeous on the Indian skintone. Such shades tend to bring out the brown color of the eyes. It turns out a wee bit lighter on the eyes(maybe because of the pigmentation) as compared to the arm swatches.

Texture & Pigmentation
The Color Show Crayon Khols have a smooth and soft texture which is not overly creamy and hence the tip does not break. It applies easily on the lids and does not tug. I’m glad this is not very buttery as almost all of my retractable pencils break so much in summers. So it pretty much has the perfect texture- Soft,does not tug yet the tip doesn’t break!

Noble Purple is better pigmented compared to Shiny Beige yet it does lack in pigmentation.It barely shows up in one swipe but it is decently pigmented and vibrant in 2-3 swipes. So I wouldn’t say this is intensely pigmented but the color can be easily built up to get a good color pay off.

Staying Power
These Maybelline Colorshow Crayon Khols score really well on the staying power as they last on forever and ever. For reference,I do not have oily lids but this withstood rigorous rubbing as well as soap and water! I’m pretty sure many girls will love the Maybelline Colorshow pencils for their wear time!

Pros
1) A gorgeous deep purple eyepencil which will looks stunning on the eyes
2) Has a smooth and soft texture
3) Does not pull or tug upon application
4) Superb staying power and is veryyyyy long lasting
5) It is smudge proof and water resistant
6) Intelligent color coded and retractable packaging!

Cons
1) Average pigmentation
2) Pricey compared to Lakme Eyeconic Kajals (though still cheaper compared to Colorbar and Faces Eyepencils!)

HBM Recommendation: Maybelline Colorshow Noble Purple Crayon Khol is a beautiful deep purple which contains purple shimmer. It looks stunning on the eyes and will especially suit the Indian skintone. It has a smooth texture and is really long lasting. The only con is that it requires 2-3 swipes to show up properly which isn’t really an issue for me. I think Noble Purple is certainly worth a try for purple lovers!
