Packaging
The Biotique Almond Lip Balm comes in a cute stick form with a twist up mechanism. Biotique recently revamped the packaging of their products which I must say is a welcome change. The older lip balms used to come in a tub packaging which was definitely unhygienic. The stick is quite long and looks a bit crooked which worries me that I might end up breaking it if I’m not careful. That being said I definitely appreciate the stick packaging for the lip balm which not only makes it more convenient to use but hygienic as well.

Texture
The consistency of the Biotique Overnight Therapy Lip Balm is super creamy and thick. It glides on the lips easily and instantly moisturizes my dry lips. The texture is quite similar to the Burt Bees Pomegranate Lip Balm but some might find it a bit too heavy or even waxy in texture. The formula is quite hydrating as it aims to heal extremely dry and chapped lips and is intended to be used at night. So if you’re the kind who prefers lightweight lip balms then its best you skip this.

The Almond Biotique Lip Balm is a clear lip balm ie that it gives no colour to the lips. The older formula contained fine shimmer but this is completely free of shimmer which again is a nice change. The Biotique Lip Balm has a spicy, clove like scent which dissipates after a few minutes of applying the product.

Efficacy
I have been using the lip balm for almost 3 weeks now and the product has shown results from the get go. My lips were quite chapped after my recent surgery to the point they were bleeding and you all know what a ghastly sight that must’ve been.The Biotique Overnight Therapy Lip Balm healed it within a few days and they looked healthier and felt moisturized.
