This is one review that has gotten really delayed. I’ve had the Faces Lip Smoother for a few months and been using it ever since. You must’ve seen this among the various goodies that I got from Faces when I attended their Sand Coat Nailpolish Launch Event and many people had asked me to review it. This is one of their latest launches so read on to know my experience with it.

Packaging
Faces Lip Smoother comes in a transparent plastic tub with a screw on cap. It has the list of ingredients, manufacturing date and other necessary details mentioned on it. Personally, i hate lip balms with a tub packaging as I find it quite unhygienic and inconvenient but I still gave it a try because of the yummy and sweet scent!

Texture
The lip balm feels a bit hard and not so buttery upon the first touch but easily gets warmed up by the fingers in 1-2 swirls and you sort of get an oily consistency. This was the case in winters and now with the warmer months upon us you instantly get adequate product on the finger.

It has a very lightweight texture which sort of reminds me of my FE lip balm! The Faces Lip Smoother instantly moisturizes my lips and relieves dryness. However, it is not extremely hydrating and does heal not chapped lips so definitely not adequate for winters.

Color & Finish
Faces Peach Pleasure is a non tined lip balm and due to the lightweight consistency it is perfect to be used under a lipstick. IMO its the perfect lip primer as it makes the lips smoother, isn’t glossy (hence wouldn’t change the matte finish of a lipstick) and moisturizes the lips!

Scent & Staying Power
I easily get bored of using lip balms and the only reason why I have been using Peach Pleasure constantly is due to the the mouth watering peach scent it has. I love the sweet yet uplifting scent which is not sickly sweet hence very pleasant to the senses. Heck just writing about it makes my mouth water 🙁 It makes me want to eat a ripe and juicy peach!

Faces Lip Smoother-Peach Pleasure has an average staying power and stays put for 2-3 hours after which it requires re-application. However, it does not dry out the lips and I do not feel the need to instantly touch up my lip balm.
Availability & Price
Being a new launch these are only available at Faces counters at the moment and I hope to see them retailing online soon. These are definitely pricey compared to its counterparts but the quantity is huge so will last you forever.
Pros
1) Lightweight formula which instantly moisturizes the lips
2) Non Tinted and gives a slight sheen to the lips
3) Smoothens the lips and is perfect to be used as a base for lipsticks
4) Has a mouth watering scent which smells pleasant and is not sickly sweet
5) Staying power is decent for a lip balm
Cons
1) Not suitable for extremely dry and chapped lips
2) Inconvenient and unhygienic tub packaging 🙁

HBM Recommendation: Faces Lip Smoother ‘Peach Pleasure’ is a mouthwatering and lightweight lip balm which adequately moisturizes the lips for a few hours. Due to its lightweight texture and non tinted color it is perfect to be used as a base for lipsticks. It is priced a little higher compared to other balms but still affordable enough to add variety to your lip balm stash 😀 However, if you have extremely dry and chapped lips or detest lip balms with tub packaging(like me) then its best if you skip this!
