L’Oreal Moist Matte Lipsticks come in a metallic rose gold packaging with the L’Oreal logo on the cap. It comes with a little button of sorts which indicates the color of the lipstick hence easing identification. The LOreal lipstick shuts with a click and will not come off in your bag. The packaging is very luxurious and certainly feels like 900 bucks though still hurts my pocket :p

L’Oreal Glamor Fuchsia looks very dark judging from the bullet but upon swatching it is a vibrant fuchsia pink with a purple undertone. In other words its a deep orchid color which will flatter pretty much all skintones. It might a bit too bright for dusky beauties but if you have the right attitude then I’m sure you’ll rock it.

I usually don’t pick up such shades and usually get attracted towards corals and rosy pinks but my stash was crying out for variety . With radiant orchid being the color of the year I decided to buy L’Oreal Glamor Fuchsia which is quite a wearable orchid lipstick. BTW this is also said to be an exact dupe of MAC Flat Out Fabulous.

Texture
Besides the beautiful color the L’Oreal Moist Matte Lipsticks have a great texture. They glide on easily, settle into a matte finish and do not dry out your lips. I have extremely dry lips and steer clear of matte lipsticks but this has a a matte yet non drying texture, sort of like the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms.

But yes, I do have a love-hate relationship with the texture as they break easily in summers! Due to the creamy texture and the soaring temperature I ended up breaking the other shades 🙁 If you are gonna buy this then make sure you refrigerate them and do not carry it along as you’re bound to break them while touching up your lips.

Pigmentation
L’Oreal Glamor Fuchsia is well pigmented and I get an opaque coverage in a couple of swipes. It will easily cover pigmentation of lips but make sure you apply it carefully. Since the L’Oreal Moist Matte Lipsticks tend to stain alot it can be very unforgiving if you apply it a little out of your lip line! Its best to line your lips first before applying this!

Staying Power
The L’Oreal Color Riche Moist Matte Lipstick score well on the staying power meter as well. Glamour Fuchsia easily stayed put for about 5 hours including drinks and snacks! After 5 hours it left a strong raspberry stain on my lips which was only removable with a makeup remover!

Worth the price?
Well that is the question I have been asking myself ever since I heard about the range. Yes the L’Oreal Moist Matte Lipstick scores extremely well on all parameters but paying 900 bucks for a drugstore brand is insane! I’d rather buy Inglot or MAC! So I only recommend it if you have a soft spot for a particular color in the L’Oreal Moist Matte Lipstick Range and can’t find it in any other brand!

HBM Recommendation: L’Oreal Moist Matte Glamor Fuchsia Lipstick is a pretty deep orchid color which is claimed to be a dupe of MAC Flat Out Fabulous. It has a comfortable texture which is not at all drying, lasts a good amount of time and gives a great color pay off. The price is a big con and that is the only thing that keeps me from recommending it!
