My Current Skincare Routine For An Even Skintone + Bath & Body Products!
Skincare Routine For An Even, Fairer Skintone + Bath & Body Products!
Hello Girlies,
Ever since I started blogging or should I say guest blogging 2 years back I have been asked endless times about my skincare routine but I had never been serious about skincare products until last year hence I never did a post on it. I always felt like investing more in makeup rather than skincare until better sense prevailed. I started taking better care of my skin this year and though, I still am guinea pig for many of the skincare brands but I think I have finally found the right products that suit my combination skin type and have been working well for my skin issues (open pores, uneven skintone) hence the post!
Facial Skincare Products- Day & Night!
I start off my routine by applying a few drops of the Kiehls Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Corrector. I have been using this on and off for the past 3-4 months and still can’t make up my mind over its efficacy as I haven’t used it regularly at a stretch. I’ve promised myself to use it for a month without fail so that I can finally review it but texture wise its very watery and lightweight hence absorbs in a jiffy!
Next, I follow it up with the Omved Eye Contour Gel which has a very interesting texture. Looked like a dried up gel in the tub but feels like oil when it comes in contact with the skin. Too early to comment on the efficacy but I like the hydration it provides despite being a gel. Complete review here
I have been exclusively using the full Jafra Brightening Range for CTM which includes their cleanser, toner, skin brightener(serum), lotion along with the Beauty Dynamic Night Cream. Its one of my most favorite skincare ranges I’ve tried and that says something as I’ve tried quite a number of skincare products this year. I am always wary of brightening or whitening ranges as they usually never work and with uneven skintone being my major concern I end using alot of such products. It has made a prominent difference to my complexion and is definitely reducing the pigmentation around my chin. Absolute LOVE! A detailed rave review coming up soon!
I have been exfoliating with the Organic Harvest Exfoliating Face Scrub twice a week and I like that it scrubs well yet does not feel harsh. Works well on removing whiteheads and does a decent job as a scrub for combi-oily skin.
Bath & Body Products
I have normal skin when it comes to the body and prefer fruity or floral fragrances. My skin has been acting a bit weird these days as sometimes it feels quite dry(especially the feet) and other times very oily. Also, having lost quite a few kilos the past couple of months I have gotten a few ok quite a bit of stretch marks on the calves thus I have been religiously using the Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil the past couple of weeks. Its quite lightweight and you only need a small quantity. I hope this works and I will keep you updated on the results.
For light moisturization I’m LOVING the Sephora Blueberry Body Lotion which smells divine. It has a fresh, fruity and sweet scent which is exactly what I like. Extremely lightweight in consistency, almost feels like water on the skin and is perfect for summer or humid months. Been following it up with the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter for the feet which BTW is extremely hydrating and smells yummy. Everytime I use it I start lemming for cupcakes and I can’t wait to use it for the body in winters!
I have been using the Jafra Ginger & Seaweed Body Wash (review here) which I forgot the include in the pics along with Sephora Cotton Flower Body Scrub for the weekly body exfoliation. I have almost finished up the scrub so I hope I remember to review it soon 😀
For the hands, Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream has been receiving a alot of love from me. It is hands down the best hand cream in India though minus any fancy scent. Total HG stuff!
That was comprehensive list of products I am regularly using for my face and body. I would love to know your thoughts incase you have tried any of these product or if you’d like me to review something in particular ASAP!
PS: The much requested hair care routine is coming up soon too!
