OOTD: Casual Valentine’s Day Outfit!
OOTD: Casual Valentine’s Day Outfit Inspiration For Tomboys!
Love is in the air and its time for all things mushy. Many of my girlfriends are busy fussing over their outfits for the D-Day aka Vday and being the only single girl in my group surely isn’t helping matters. I was planning on doing some dressy Valentines Day Outfit Inspirations but 2015 is all about experimental fashion on HBM so I thought why not create a look for tomboys who must be having a real hard time dressing up all girly while still retaining their style this Valentines Day. You can also take this as a guide on how to style a Casual Valentine’s Day Outfit this year!
First things first, if dresses aren’t your thing, skip it. Your date loves you for who you are and you don’t need to dress up in something you’re not comfortable in just because Vday is all about dresses & cute rompers. Wear you most comfortable pair of jeans, be it skinny or straight fit or the effortlessly casual boyfriend jeans.
I haven’t worn a pair of jeans in over 8 years now so I was quite nervous for this look when I was visualizing it in my mind. I rolled up the hem , well because I liked it like that 😀 I recently bought this pair from F21 & was very pleased with the quality and styles considering they are dirt cheap! If jeans are too boring for you, then wear a pair of distressed shorts and rock them legs this Valentine’s Day!
You can pair your lowers with any bright tank top, especially pink and stay warm with a floral blazer with rolled up sleeves. Too girly? Well take out your cute pullovers or anything in pink for your Vday outfit. If you’re a tomboy you probably detest pink, but a little addition won’t hurt and I’m sure your date would appreciate the effort and its bound to make him feel all the more special.

I am wearing this cute and warm baby pink pullover by Sheinside which has the cutest and quirkiest faux collar. I was expecting it to come with a shirt inside or something, but nope its just attached to the sweater with some buttons. So many girls have been asking me about it on my social media handles & least to say its a great way to attract compliments conversation starter.
Add a feminine touch with pretty accessories for the Valentines Day vibe. I styled my casual Valentine’s Day outfit with a transparent envelope clutch. Envelope clutches have been a hot trend for a couple of years now and it is still going strong. Envelope clutches add a touch of glamour and style to the look and you must own atleast 1!

I wore a matching pair of pink bow earrings along with my favorite bow ring by Zotiqq. You must have seen me wearing this on numerous occasions but I never get bored of it. Who can get bored of bows? DUH! I got it inked, afterall 😀 Stock up on arm candy and pair some charm bracelets with your favorite watch. I am wearing the prettiest heart bracelet which gets locked with a cupid’s bow by Zotiqq. How cuuuuute!
Booties are your best bet for a casual date, unless you’re like me who would rather wear a pair of heels even at the gym :p They will keep you comfortable yet look fabulously chic.I added a touch of bling with these Pavers England shimmer flats which go with N number of outfits. Definitely one of my favorite pairs.
As for the Valentine’s Day hair do, I styled my hair by making 2 braids and creating a faux hairband by pinning them on opposite sides. This not only keeps the hair away from your face but looks very romantic. You can either keep the rest of your hair open, tie it up in a pony or a high bun like I did. If you’d like me to make a tutorial on this then do let me know. For the makeup of my Casual Valentine’s Day OOTD, I went with a simple winged liner & lots of mascara. I contoured my cheeks and added a hint of pink. As for the lips, I rocked a pretty pink-nude lipcolor called Revlon Matte Balm in Elusive.
