Best Affordable Kajal in India: Faces Magneteyes Kajal Review, Swatches, Price & Buy Online India
An Indian girl might skip a mascara but she rarely leaves the home without her kajal. A kajal is probably the first makeup item that we usually end up purchasing ( It was mine!) and is the one makeup product that I always keep buying and experimenting with. The Indian market is flooded with so many options when it comes to this category and now Faces has joined the bandwagon with their Magneteyes Kajal which will definitely prove to be a tough competitor to Maybelline & Lakme. Read on for the detailed review.

Packaging
The Faces Kajal is similar to other variants in the market when it comes to the packaging. A bright red retractable pencil with a cap. I somehow don’t like the color of the pencil, I prefer my products in either black or prisitine white, or pink, yes pink is always a safe bet. Anyhoo, thats just me but the cap shuts tightly and will not open in your handbag or clutch. The kajal comes sealed in an outer covering but I was too excited use the product rather than wait and click it first 😀
Shade & Pigmentation
Faces Magneteyes Kajal is the blackest of black kajals. It is highly pigmented and a single swipe gives an intense black finish. I have used the Maybelline Colossal Kajal, Lakme Eyeconic Kajal & the L’Oreal Magique Kajal and I found the Faces one to be the most pigmented followed closely by the Lakme Eyeconic ( which has been my favorite..till now!) It easily shows up on the waterline as well as the eyelids so you wouldn’t have any trouble with the color pay off.

Texture
The Faces Canada Magneteyes Kajal is extremely creamy in texture. The kajal glides like butter and does not tug during application. While the texture is quite smooth but it also tends to break easily because of the creaminess especially in summers. So you have to be gentle during application and I hate it when my kajal pencils break. Ugh! >.<
Staying Power
The Faces Kajal claims to be smudgeproof and water resistant. It certainly delivers well on those claims though it does smudge from the waterline after 4-5 hours but manages to stay put on my lids for a solid 8-9 hours without smudging. However, if you tend to rub your eyes quite a bit then it definitely starts smudging after 3 hours which many girls might hate. It needs to be removed with a waterproof makeup remover like the Maybelline Clean Express Makeup Remover but I prefer using baby oil or olive oil.
At Rs 175 it is competitively priced and for the quality I find it to be the best affordable kajal in India. Its not only intensely pigmented, but smooth and has a great staying power.
Pros of Faces Magneteyes Kajal
1) Smooth and creamy texture
2) Glides on like butter and does not tug
3) Highly pigmented and gives an intense black finish
4) Good staying power
5) Easy on the pocket
6) I find it better than Lakme, Maybelline & L’Oreal kajals
7) Retractable packaging hence does not require sharpening
Cons of Faces Magneteyes kajal
1) Since the texture is super creamy, the kajal tends to break if you apply too much pressure
2) Tends to smudge after a few hours if you rub your eyes too much
HBM Rating
HBM Recommendation: The kajal wars just got hotter with the Faces Magneteyes Kajal’s entry in the Indian market. It is super intense, exactly how I like my kajals to be. It shows up easily on the waterline, has a super creamy texture along with a good staying power. At Rs 175 bucks, this is definitely the best kajal in India and has already replaced the Lakme Eyeconic to become my favorite!
