I was feeling much better yesterday so finally went for a good workout and today my body feels so sore that I can’t even pick up a glass of water 😀 Nothing makes me feel as satisfied with a workout as my sore body. Today’s post is a bit different from what I usually do. A few days back one of my lovely readers, Ankita asked me to decode the lipstick Alia Bhatt is wearing in the song Saturday- Saturday which was featured in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania! I personally loved her deep fuchsia-purple lips and I thought it’d be helpful for girls looking for the same answer hence I decided to do a post on it.

When I first saw the song I just knew it was a shade I had seen in MAC. She is wearing a warm fuchsia pink lipcolor with a purple undertone. My initial guess was MAC Flat Out Fabulous but I quickly realized that it is just a bit more fuchsia and less warmer hence was discarded. I do believe she is not rocking one lipstick shade but is probably a mixture of 2 lipsticks. My best guess is MAC Girl About Town mixed with MAC Rebel.

Since I was quite confused I decided to take the help of our lovely beauty bloggers and here are their picks. Thanks a bunch for your help girls! :*

Ansh– Revlon Cherries In The Snow blotted with powder ( I think Ansh hit the bull’s eye. This is probably the best drugstore option and is the closest lipstick to what Alia is wearing in the song)
Dolon– A combo of a fuchsia lipstick + MAC Rebel should give this shade
Rashmi– MAC Process Magenta lip pencil and MAC Impassioned Lipstick, blotted of course
Samannita– MAC Pleasure Bomb (It just needs a hint of plum and we would totally get the exact shade, I guess)

So those were the some of the closest shade possibilities. But ofcourse not everyone can afford MAC lipsticks or has these shades in their kitty so I’m suggesting some pocket friendly fuchsia and plummy purple dupes which you can mix together to get a shade similar to that of Alia Bhatt.

To get a matte finish just blot your lips with a tissue paper.
