Packaging
The Avene Spring Water is packaged in a slim white can which looks simple, is convenient to use and is fuss free. The spray nozzle spritzes just the perfect amount of mist and I usually need just a pump or 2 for my face and neck. The cap shuts tightly and certainly won’t come off in your bag. The bottle comes in 2 variants 50ml and 150ml, I have the 50ml one which is small and very travel friendly.
I have the special limited edition bottle of the Avene Thermal Spay which comes with a design of ‘The Young Lady’ by the Japanese artist Mr. Takushi Mizuno. Every year the brand will be launching a special limited edition bottle with new faces. 🙂

Efficacy
Now whats the whole hype about spring water, you ask? The thermal spring water contained in the Avene Spray and all the other products in their range is taken and packaged direct from the source- Sainte-Odile spring. This water is pure and clean and researches have proven it to have amazing anti radical and anti-inflammatory properties which soothes and calms the skin. The water has been known to treat and calm chronic and disabling diseases such as atopic dermatitis.
It is also rich in silica and has a natural PH balance of 7.5. Silica helps in treating skin problems like rashes, injuries etc. So how true are these claims? Luckily, for the most part I have healthy skin hence I never got around to using this product often as I thought, well, its just normal water! And boy was I wrong. Recently, I got my upper lip waxed and having really sensitive skin there, my skin ended up being inflammed, red and was burning like crazy. I tried to soothe it down with ice cubes, toners etc but nothing helped. And then I decided to use the Avene Spring Water Spray. The burning not only reduced within seconds but it also soothened my skin to a great extent.
The Avene Thermal Spray can be used in a number of ways : as a toner or to soothe and calm the skin after a sun burn, rashes, skin irritation or raging acne. Those who suffer from breakouts will swear by this as it is very efficient at calming painful eruptions. I have started using this as toner followed by my ZA Total Hydration Refreshing Gel and while I cannot exclusively credit the spray but my skin feels much softer and supple after I starting using it.
