Bourjois Ombre à paupières Eye Shadow 02 : Review, Swatches & Pictures
Bourjois is fast becoming my favorite brand though the prices are definitely on the higher side for a drugstore brand. But last month was my birthday and I splurged on pretty much everything I wanted. Bourjois Ombre à paupières eyeshadows were always on my wishlist and today I’m going to review a gorgeous shade numbered 02 which is a baked eyeshadow that can be used both wet and dry.

Packaging
Bourjois Ombre à paupières Eye Shadow 02 comes in an adorable little round compact packaging which is the same color as the eyeshadow itself. Due to the color coded packaging it is easier to locate a particular shade if you’re in a hurry or have a cluttered makeup stash like me :p It comes with a double ended sponge applicator and a tiny mirror inside which is great for touch ups. Overall, I’m really fond of the packaging and I find it super attractive, cute and travel friendly.
Shade
Shade 02 is an exquisite turquoise/peacock blue with slight shimmer and goes really well with ethnic attire. The shimmer is very fine and not very noticeable. I love doing a smokey look with it and at times I apply it as an eyeliner which adds a gorgeous pop of color to my eyes. When used wet it is a bit more blue and intense.
Texture
Bourjois Ombre à paupières 02 has a soft and smooth texture which blends like a dream. These are one of the best eyshadows I’ve used in terms of texture and staying power. It is a bit powdery despite having a hard surface(since its a baked eyeshadow) and results in a bit of fallout. Nothing major that will make you do up your eyes before your base and it can be easily removed with the help of a fan brush.
Pigmentation
Baked eyeshadows are known for their pigmentation & staying power and Bourjois eyeshadows didn’t disappoint me unlike Lakme’s variant. I won’t say its intensely pigmented when used dry but you can get an opaque finish in 2-3 swipes. You get the true color and high pigmentation when used wet so just moist a synthetic eyeshadow brush to get the best out of the eyeshadow.
Staying Power
Bourjois Eyeshadow #2 has a decent staying power that stays put for about 3-4 hours after which it loses intensity and starts creasing. It has alot better staying power when used over a primer or wet.

Worth the price?
Bourjois eyeshadows are priced a bit higher compared to other single eyeshadow available in the market but I do think its worth it. They score well in all aspects and come in a huge variety of shades.

HBM Recommendation:Bourjois Ombre à paupières Eye Shadow 02 is a beautiful turquoise shade which has a soft texture, is well pigmented and is long staying. It can also be used wet which gives a better pigmentation and longer staying power. The eyeshadow is a bit expensive but totally worth the price tag. Highly Recommended!
