Hello Girlies,

I’m not keeping well today and slept throughout the day as if someone’s drugged me LOL Anyhoo, I really wanted to do a post today and since I have been lagging behind on event coverage I decided to share the deets on one of my favorite events that I attended this year. Colorbar recently organized an exclusive meet with a few bloggers to launch some of their new ranges- Just Smokey Kajal, Darkened Summer Lipsticks, New Colorbar Take Me As I Am Lipcolors & Darkened Summer Nail Polishes.

The meet was held at the newly launched Colorbar store in Khan Market which started with a makeover session. We all were assigned a Colorbar MUA who let us choose our look from the trending looks of the season. I chose to go for aqua eyes with a bright pink pout 😀 My MUA was Elizabeth who explained each Colorbar product that she used on me in detail and the proper application technique. Being a beauty blogger, I am quite well versed with the application and I usually get bored with the gyaan but this time I actually picked up some great tips from her. I absolutely loved the flawless finish of the Colorbar Perfect Match Primer with the Perfect Match Foundation and I will be going back to pick this up soon.

We also got to try the newly launched Colorbar Darkened Summer Collection which has 6 gorgeous lipsticks(swatches here) and 4 sand textured nail paints which also come in a kit which I shall be reviewing soon .I loved the new Colorbar Take Me As I Am Lip Crayons & Just Smoky Kajals which are really smooth and surprisingly did not break at all when I swatched them this time.

Besides this, we were also showcased to one of the best initiatives taken by a brand- personalized lipsticks and brushes! The store in Khan Market has a machine where you can get you name inscribed in whichever color/font on any Colorbar Lipstick or Brushes on a purchase of Rs 1000 which is a very reasonable amount! The Colorbar Team was kind enough to gift us all one and I think this makes for one the best gifting option for girls. Guys, you must consider gifting some to your girl as I’m sure it would totally win them over, I know I’d be flattered!

We later went out for lunch and I really must appreciate the efforts made by the Colorbar team to make sure I was well fed keeping my diet restrictions in mind with sugar less milkshakes and soups with no salt or oil. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and it is no wonder that it has been one of my favorite meets!

The Colorbar Store at Khan Market has a great friendly staff which stocks the full range of lipsticks, nail paints, blushes, eyeshadows etc. I have faced a bit of an issue with SAs at GIP so I will be visiting this store more often now. Having interacted with the staff there, I can tell that they know their craft well and certainly weren’t the types to force you for a lighter foundation or grotesque lipsticks 😉

One of the interesting things I picked up was that Colorbar uses the exact same ingredients, and formulations as Bobbi Brown/MAC etc so you’re getting the same quality at much lesser prices. I also noticed many shade dupes of these high end brands and will share them soon! A BIG thank you to the fabulous Colorbar team for a fantastic meet which we all enjoyed to the hilt!
