Packaging
The Colorbar Diamond Shine Lipsticks are packaged in a matte silver box which consists of all the necessary details. The lipstick itself comes in a metallic silver packaging, just like the other Colorbar products. The cap shuts with a click, hence it is less likely to open in your handbag, making it travel friendly. The shade name is mentioned on the bottom of the lipstick which makes identification of a particular color much easier.

Texture
Despite containing shimmer, the lipsticks have a smooth and creamy texture. They do not feel gritty and apply easily. The only issue I face with it is the fact that the shimmer tends to settle into fine lines after some hours. Though this is something I have noticed with many shimmer lipsticks but it can be a concern for some. The shimmer stays put and does not travel all over the area of mouth.

Pigmentation & Staying Power
The new Colorbar Diamond Shine Lipsticks are decently pigmented. They are definitely not the most saturated lip colors in the market but can be easily built up. The darker shades like Expensive Garnet & Precious Coral require only a swipe or 2 but shades like Rose Golden & Copper Citrine needs atleast 2-3 swipes for moderate coverage. I get a wear time of about 3-4 hours with these and it is reduced further with a full meal due to the shine finish.

Shades
Usually Colorbar launches a huge shade collection, like their Diamond Shine Lip Glosses, however these lipsticks are available only in 5 shades. I must admit that some of the shades seemed very bold and difficult to rock judging from the bullet but they surprisingly look pretty once applied. Here are the swatches and shades of the entire range.

Colorbar Diamond Shine Rose Golden Lipstick: This is a blue based pink with a metallic finish. It does have very fine silver shimmer and will flatter pale to fair skintones.
Colorbar Shimmer Lipstick Copper Citrine: This was one of the shades that I thought will not suit anyone. It is a gold-copper color which is subtle on the lips but again only a few can really carry it well. The swatch picture has atleast 3-4 swipes to show the true color.
Colorbar Diamond Shine Lipstick Precious Coral: A warm metallic copper which will look good on medium to dusky skintone.
Colorbar Expensive Garnet: This is one of my favorites from the range. It is a jewel toned warm red with a brown undertones. This one’s perfect for Indian weddings.
Colorbar Diamond Shine Natural Bronze: It is a cool toned taupe-brown. This one is a bit on the sheer side and I think it will be difficult to make this shade work on many skintones. Not a huge fan.

Overall, I’m quite happy with the pricing of the new Colorbar Lipsticks as it is easy on the pocket as far as new launches by Colorbar are concerned. I necessarily wouldn’t pick up a metallic or shimmer lip product because matte lips are still my thang. However, if you’re someone who loves shimmer or wants to experiment with metallic lips, then this range is a good option.
