Texture and Fragrance
Dr. Batra’s Face Wash is a yellow gel-based face wash with dark red colored granules that dissolve on rubbing. The acne clear face wash had yellow granules which were turmeric bits. But these red granules, well I am not sure what they are and I couldn’t find anything red in the ingredients list also. The consistency is more runny than the other variant. The face wash has a warm and spicy fragrance which those with a sensitive nose may not like.

Efficacy
I started using this face wash two weeks back. It lathers mildly but cleanses the face effectively and removes all dirt and dust. I find it slightly difficult to wash off the product completely as it has a slippery, soapy feeling. After complete rinsing, I could notice a soft glow on my face. Nowadays, there are lot of face washes which give instant glow, instant fairness, instant whitening, etc. Most of them contain some whitening chemical which leaves a thin film on skin giving the fairness effect. So the glow/fairness often appears artificial. Also, those chemicals leave behind a dry, stretchy feeling. Well, this face wash by Dr Batra’s isn’t like the rest .

It just cleanses the face well without stripping off the skin’s natural oils. So there is no dry, stretchy feeling afterward. Skin appears healthy and glowing in its natural state. In a way, it reminds me of my mom’s homemade face wash of gram flour and turmeric which I used for a long time and gives a healthy, natural glow. The face wash is mild and gentle and can be used by all skin types.
