My Envy Box July 2016 Review, Products & Price
My Envy Box + Wedmegood July 2016 Review, Products & Price
The beauty subscription box game in India has really picked up in recent times. Till last year there were only 2 real competitors but this year I have seen many new exciting brands joining the foray. While it’ll be interesting to see how well they perform, my favorite still remains My Envy Box when it comes to trying out luxury beauty brands. They recently teamed up with Wedmegood to curate this attractive Band Bajaa Beauty Box for the wedding season.

The July Envy Box 2016 is a bright fuchsia pink in color with orange motifs. It looks absolutely gorgeous and goes really well with the “wedding” theme. The box contains 5 deluxe to full sized samples so lets have a closer look at them.
1) Gulnare Glow Girl Shimmering Dry Oil: Rs 1250 for 60 ml
Starting off with the product that I’m most excited about- a shimmering body oil! Though the concept of shimmer body oils/lotions hasn’t picked up in India but they are the perfect accompaniments for summer ready legs especially for a beach holiday.. They can also be used for parties and events. This dry oil adds a beautiful glow to the skin and the shimmer is quite subtle. It hydrates the skin well and requires only a small quantity. I received a full size product but I do feel the price is quite high for the quantity.
2) Skinyoga Marigold Foot Soak: Rs 695 for 100 gms
I’ve never tried a foot soak before so this was another sample that excited me. It is a 100% natural treatment for tired feet. Marigold is said to be an excellent coolant to bring down body heat making it perfect for the hotter months. It also helps de-tan and relaxes the muscles. The foot soak contains coconut as well which nourishes the skin. Overall, sounds like a great product and I can’t wait to give it a try.
3) Kerastase Chronologiste Fragrant Oil: Rs 5600 for 120 ml
I love receiving Kerastase oils & serums as they not only help me decide better about investing in it but they also come in handy during my travels as I hate carrying the full sized bottle lest it leaks. This 3ml vial will last me a few uses and smells absolutely amazing.
4) Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi Scrub: Rs 995 for 50 gms
I’ve used this scrub before and it is a cream based gentle exfoliating scrub perfect for dry skin. It’s also suitable for sensitive skin as the fine walnut particles are not too abrasive. I received a 5gm sample size which looks too tiny but the quantity should be sufficient for 2-3 uses.
5) Kama Ayurveda Hand Cream: Rs 645 for 60 gms
I am a sucker for hand creams and this one of the best I’ve tried so far. It has a light cardamom scent and contains shea butter, cocoa butter, kokum butter and almond oil to hydrate and nourish the hands. It’s effective at reducing dryness and makes the hands feel extremely soft and healthy.
Overall, I loved the selection of products in the box this time. I think they perfectly complimented the wedding box theme though a bright fuchsia pink lipstick or a nail color would’ve been the icing on the cake. That said, I would’ve been much happier with bigger sample sizes of the Kama Ayurveda products.
*PR Sample. However, my opinion remains honest and unbiased.
