Estee Lauder recently launched their much acclaimed perfume – Modern Muse in India. I was really excited to attend the event and inadvertently I ended up dressing like the Modern Muse as well. I wore a blush pink dress with my lovely bows! :p A perfume is said to be extension of a person’s personality & I believe I have found the one closest to mine and no its not only because it has a bow! 😉 Read on to know my experience with Estee Lauder Modern Muse EDP.

Estée Lauder unveils Modern Muse, a new fragrance that is inspired by the intriguing duality of today’s woman and complements every aspect of her dynamic life. This fragrance captures the essence of a Modern Muse with a Lush Floral Woody scent, a true statement in modern luxury that conveys confidence, style and creativity with a modern, youthful attitude.

A New Concept in Fragrance
Composed of subtle contrasts and bold contradictions, Modern Muse reveals layers of strength and softness in an appealing creative tension. Its innovative “dual-impression” structure invites women to connect with the fragrance through two contrasting aspects:

• Sparkling Jasmine Accord:  This facet of the fragrance captures the creative energy and magnetic femininity of a modern woman. Exotic Mandarin and tempting Honeysuckle Nectar send a spark of energy through a youthful sensation of Dewy Petals. Two extractions of Jasmine Sambac, including one new to the perfumery palette, Jasmine Sambac China Absolute, bring luminous texture to the feminine bouquet of rich Tuberose Fleur and Fresh Lily.

Packaging
Inspired by the modern yet feminine woman Estee Lauder’s Modern Muse has a sleek glass packaging with a deep blue bow with gold accents. It comes packaged in a feminine blush pink box topped with a bow ribbon. Packaging wise, it is as attractive and girly as it gets without looking kiddish.

Scent
The perfume oozes femininity and classiness in each aspect- be it the packaging, the bottle or the sophisticated scent. The perfume smells quite floral on me primarily of jasmine which is sensual and appealing but with a slight amber-musky tone to it. The scent smells different on different people and a blogger who loves musky perfumes felt it was more musky than floral on her.

Staying Power
It is perfect for all occasions, be it day or night as it is not too strong and is very pleasing to senses. Everytime I wear it, I not only feel feminine and classy but numerous people have asked me about the perfume I’m wearing that day. Its not too overpowering making it perfect for day wear as well. I very rarely wear perfumes as I have an extremely sensitive nose and most of the raved about perfumes give me an headache. I did like DKNY’s Red Apple but it was a little too sweet for me at times. This is the perfect combination of floral and musky notes and never irritated me. The perfume is long lasting and stays put for 8+ hours on me.
