Isn’t it funny how our preferences keep changing? Just a few months back I was into bright, stop the traffic, bold lipcolors and all of a sudden I see myself opting for nudes and lighter pinks. Call it the Kylie Jenner effect if you want but I’m loving matte nude lips these days. Faces recently revamped their Glam On Lipstick range and I opted for a beautiful peachy nude color called 04 Barely There which I shall be reviewing today. Read on to know if this is the ultimate nude lipstick for Indian skin.

Packaging
The revamped packaging of the new Faces Glam on Lipsticks comes in a clear plastic casing which has a metallic finish towards the the bottom. It comes with a color coded sticker at the bottom which eases identification a bit. The new packaging is much better from the old boring one and I quite prefer this sleeker and classier version. The bullet is thinner than your average lipstick and had a slanted tip.

Shade
Faces Glam On Lipstick Barely There is a tricky color to describe. When I swatch it, the color looks like a coral nude with a slight pink undertone. However, on my lips its a peachy nude color which is very flattering for my skintone and many of you have been asking me about this color everytime I post an FOTD with it. However, it will definitely be a bit pale for dusky beauties and maybe for those with a wheatish skintone as well so its best to try it out before buying it.

Texture
The new Faces Glam On Color Perfect Lipsticks have a creamy texture which is very hydrating. Those with dry lips will love it and the lipstick does not settle into lip lines either. It gives a semi-glossy finish which is very lightweight and comfortable to wear.

Pigmentation
The Faces Barely There Glam On Lipstick gives a good color pay off for a nude lipstick. You need a couple of swipes for a semi opaque finish which covers moderate lip pigmentation to a good extent. The pigmentation is buildable and the coverage is pretty decent.

Staying Power
Since the Faces Glam On Lipstick has a creamy finish, it tends to transfer easily and fades quickly incase you have a meal. It does survive small snacks or drinks but after a meal you will need to touch it up. I get an average of 3-4 hours of wear time from this particular shade though I’ve read that the darker colors last much longer.

For the price tag of Rs 549, it can be a wee bit steep considering the staying power. However, I love the color, the texture and the finish hence the price is not a big issue with me.
