Beautiful Gold Smokey Eye Makeup Step By Step Tutorial: Diwali Special!
Hello Girlies!
It feels like I’ve been missing in action since forever even though its only been a day as my laptop has been messing up big time! I Anyhoo, Its certainly been far too long since I last did an eyemakeup tutorial and I was planning on doing quite a few looks for the festive season but I just couldn’t find the time. This look was prepared for Karwa Chauth but since I couldn’t edit it in time I decided to turn into a Diwali Eye Makeup Tutorial and is perfect for the festivities.
I wanted to keep the eye makeup neutral (yet bold) as I bet many of us are planning to wear our brightest and best outfits and you most certainly wouldn’t want it all matchy-matchy, right? This beautiful gold smokey eyes are perfect for Diwali and here is a step by step tutorial on it!
Step 1
Prep + Prime your eyes to make your eye shadow last longer. Apply a concealer to cover your dark circles and a primer so that your eyeshadows don’t budge or crease
Step 2.
Using a flat eyeshadow brush, pat a gold eyeshadow to 2/3 of your eyelid. I am using the shade Devotion from my MUA Undress Me Too Palette.
Shade 3
Next, apply a deep brown eyeshadow on the remaining outer 1/3rd of the eye. If you’d like to match your eye makeup to your outfit then you can also use a corresponding shade like a green, pink, purple etc.
Make sure you blend the crease with a fluffy blending brush using light wind wiper motions.
Step 4
Highlight your browbone with a fluffy eyeshadow brush with a ivory toned highlighter or an eyeshadow which is a shade or two lighter than your skintone.
Step 5
I’m pretty obsessed with smudged kajal which I believe is perfect for adding that hint of smokiness. For this step, apply a kajal on your upper and lower lashline and quickly smudge it with a smudger brush.
Step 6
Smokey Eye Makeup can never be complete without a ton of mascara so make sure you are quite generous with it. Don’t forget to curl your lashes first and fill in your brows as well.
The Final Look- Beautiful Smokey Eye Makeup Tutorial
I suggest pairing this easy smokey eyemakeup look with a soft pink blush like Bourjois Rose Frisson and bright pink lips like Maybelline POW 2, Maybelline Color Show Lipstick Fuchsia Fantasy or Rimmel Apocalips/ Showoff Lipgloss in Apocaliptic
I just realized I have been focusing alot on smoky eyemakeup tutorials though I’ve always loved playing with brighter colors. I’ll certainly try to do more different looks and hopefully more often!
Happy Chotti Diwali to all my readers. My dog had been keeping quite unwell the past few weeks and now that he is much better I’m all in the mood for celebrations. I hope you all have a blast and keep an eye out for my experience with the GM diet to detoxify after all the hogging this festive season! 🙂
