Green Smokey Eyemakeup Tutorial
Hello Ladies!
So its the last day of the year and that means partying and having a good time for most of us! Its the perfect time for an intense smokey look so I present to you my version of New Year Eve’s Party Eyemakeup! I wanted to post this tutorial a few days back but I wasn’t happy with some of the pics so I had to reshoot them and that is why there is a wee bit difference in the color as the lighting was a bit dull the second time around. So without further ado, lets begin the tutorial.
Step 1
Start off by priming your eyes so that your eyeshadow lasts longer and doesn’t crease. Since we’re using dark shades I will conceal my eyes after cleaning off the fall out.
Step 2
Next, apply a black base to make your eye shadows pop. You can use a gel liner, cream eyeshadow, or a kohl pencil that does not set too quickly for this step.
Feel free to apply it all over your lid or as I have done. I have applied it just on the corners out of habit :p Make sure you apply it below the crease line. Next, taking a smudger brush lightly smudge it.
Step 3
Taking an eyeshadow brush, pat a matte black eyeshadow in the inner and outer corner of your eyes.
Step 4
Next, pat an antique green or olive eyeshadow in the middle of your lid. Blend the edges lightly with the same brush.
Step 5
Using a fluffy blending brush, blend out the harsh edges in the crease using to and fro wiper motions.
Step 6
Highlight your browbone with your favourite highlighter using a fluffy blending brush or my favorite doe foot eyeshadow brush.
Step 7
Apply a black kohl on your lower waterline thickly and smudge it with a smudger brush. Next, apply a black eyeshadow in the inner and outer corner of your lower lashline using a precision eyeshadow brush or a pointed crease brush. Then apply the same green eyeshadow in the middle of your lower lashline.
Step 8
Finish off the look by tightlining your eyes, curl you lashes and apply loads of mascara. If you want you can also line your upper eyelid with a kohl and smudge it.
Most importantly don’t forget to fill in your brows. There is nothing worse than dark and intense eyes with light unfilled brows!
Since the eyes are bold I strongly suggest pairing it with n*de lips and nicely contoured cheeks. You can apply a rosy brown blush(like INGLOT Cream Blush 83) or just a bronzer!
