You must be noticing alot of skincare products being reviewed on the blog lately and that is because I’m sort of taking a break from makeup. I never thought I’ll become a skincare girl over a makeup girl but for now I’m just so bored of it. Bored of the latest launches, bored of similar products being launched by different brands and most definitely bored of all the new lip products that we have been bombarded with lately (no wonder there hasn’t been a swatch post since long) These days I get so much more excited when brands send me skincare products rather than makeup and I hope that keeps on continuing 😀
Anyhoo, today I’m going to review Iraya Algae Serum which I’ve been loving alot this summers!
Product Description
With the Spirulina, green algae and aloevera,this magical mixture wonderfully moisturises and smoothens the skin. Leaves a hint of the exotic aroma of the East, keeping your senses revived, all day.

Packaging
The Iraya Algae Serum Body Lotion comes in a transparent and long bottle with a pump dispenser. The pump dispenses adequate product and does not lead to wastage. The bottle mentions all the necessary details though I would’ve preferred them to mention the full ingredient list as well. The packaging is sturdy but regular and for the price I would’ve liked something more impressive.
Texture
Since I have normal skin type I very rarely tend to apply a body lotion in summers and I do like to beleive that it has got nothing to do with the fact that I am super lazy! Most of the body lotions/ moisturizers make me sweat but that is where the Iraya Body Lotion wins full points. The Iraya Algae Serum Body Lotion has an extremely lightweight consistency which is almost watery. It absorbs pretty quickly into the skin and does not make me sweat!

Efficacy
It adequately moisturizes my skin and makes it soft and supple to touch. The texture is perfect for normal to oily skin type for usage in summers. For people with extremely dry skin this might not be so suitable and they may require something which is a bit more hydrating.
Fragrance
The lotion has a light and refreshing scent which which is not too overpowering and lingers on for a few hours. I can’t really point out what exactly it smells of but least to say my mum really loves it. I wasn’t really that crazy about the fragrance as I much prefer a floral scent but since its not strong I do not mind it.
Staying Power
I do not require a re-application throughout the day as it adequately moisturizes my skin and is long lasting. However, those with dry skin might need a re-application after 4-5 hours.
Pros
1) A lightweight body lotion which does not feel heavy
2) Quickly absorbs into the skin
3) Does not make the skin greasy or oily
4) Perfect to be used in summers
5) Long staying power
6) Contains algae serum, aloe vera and spirulina which are known to work wonders for the texture of the skin
7) Has a pump dispenser which makes application a breeze.
Cons
1) Expensive for a body lotion
2) Might not be suitable for those with extremely dry skin

HBM Recommendation: Iraya Algae Serum Body Lotion has an extremely lightweight texture which quickly absorbs into the skin. It does not make the skin oily while adequately moisturizes it. This is one of the best body lotions one can use in summers and is perfect for those with dry to oily skin(might be a bit too light for extremely dry skin though) I just wish the price was on a little on the lower side but barring that no complains!

A serum body lotion with algae seems an attractive concept. I also like the simple packaging that they have. Well reviewed babes!!!!
I know, right? I googled up on algae's benefits and its quite an impressive list!
