I have been using the Jafra Brightening Range along with their Beauty Dynamic Balancing Night Cream for a couple of months now which I showed you in my skincare routine post and I finally got around to reviewing it. It has been one of the most promising brightening/whitening ranges I’ve used in awhile so read on to know my thoughts on it 🙂

The Jafra Brightening Face Wash comes in an opaque squeez-y tube with a flip open cap. It has the complete list of ingredients mentioned on it. The cleanser has a runny gel consistency which lathers well but not as much as the ZA True White Face Wash. The Jafra Cleanser adequately removes dirt and grime but isn’t that effective when it comes to removing makeup since its pretty gentle. It has a beautiful floral scent hence I love using it in the mornings. The JAFRA Brightening Cleanser contains red sea weed extracts which is known enhance to skin clarity. It does not dry out my skin and makes my skin look clean and bright.

The Jafra Brightening Toner claims to freshen and replenish the skin, leaving it radiant. It come in an opaque bottle with a tiny nozzle. I would’ve preferred a pump dispenser which would’ve made it easier to use though the nozzle dispenses adequate product. The toner has a soft jasmine fragrance which is pleasing to the senses. I was surprised to find out that it contains alcohol but luckily it does not sting or dry out my skin. The JAFRA Toner works quite well for normal to oily skin.

One of my favorite products from the range is the Jafra Brightener Serum aka the Skin Brightener+ It comes in a white bottle with a pump dispenser and is light beige in color but isn’t tinted. The serum goes on smoothly and absorbs quickly into the skin. Its lightweight texture has been my saviour in these hot and humid months. The Jafra Skin Brightener adequately moisturizes my skin without making it greasy or oily. It definitely adds a healthy glow to my complexion and is perfect for all skintypes.

The Jafra Brightening Lotion comes in an opaque squeezy tube and is supposed to be used as a day cream on top of the serum. It contains SPF 15 which though isn’t adequate but does provide some protection against the sun. It has a weird smell which does not irritate me but I thought it was worth mentioning. I find it a little heavy for my combination skin but whenever I use it my friends always ask me which “foundation” I’ve used! I truly don’t need much coverage these days thanks to the Jafra Brightening Range which has evened out my complexion, minimized my pores to a certain extent and has reduced the dullness. The JAFRA Brightening Lotion instantly perks up my complexion and I wish it was a bit more lightweight so that I could wear it regularly instead of days where I know I won’t be travelling out in the heat.

The JAFRA Brightening Range does not have a night cream so I was given the night cream from their Beauty Dynamic Balancing range which is meant for combination to oily skin. I had a major issue with the packaging as the cap just didn’t fit the tub properly. It has a hydrating yet light texture and is light blue in color. It somehow stung my eyes whenever I applied it so I didn’t use it for more than 2 weeks. I can’t comment on its efficacy and it has been my least used and least favorite product from JAFRA.

HBM Recommendation: JAFRA Brightening Range has some great products which work quite well. I have loved used everything from the cleanser to the toner and the brightening lotion. Though I felt the brightening lotion was a little too heavy for my skin but it never broke me out and added a healthy glow to my complexion. All these products have evened out my complexion and made the texture of the skin soft and smooth. I wouldn’t recommend the JAFRA Balancing Night Cream as it stung my eyes but the Brightening Range gets a thumbs up from me. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a brightening/lightening range that actually works!
