The milky pink cream feels smooth to touch and quickly transforms into powder like finish upon application. One needs to be really quick in blending the product into the skin or it might make the skin look ashy. This creme functions like a base product (BB cream or foundation) as it looks uneven if not blended properly but it does not provide any coverage.

Lakme 9 to 5 Insta Light Glow Creme makes the skin temporarily brighter (not glowing) looking as in the case of most fairness creams. On my combination skin, the cream clings to the dry patches and enhances the appearance of dry skin. I would say combination and dry skin girls can give this cream a miss. It does not moisturize the skin effectively as claimed.

It also claims to have sunscreen but the amount of SPF it contains is not mentioned so it is not suitable as a day cream on its own. What I absolutely loved about the Lakme 9 to 5 Insta Light Instant Glow Cream is the matte finish it gives to the skin. My T-Zone remains shine free for 6 hours easily and no powdering is required. I prefer using it below my foundation as a primer and this cream is ideal for oily skin girls who are constantly on a lookout for mattifying products.

Not a winner from Lakme this time.
