How are you all doing today? I’m busy being lazy and curling up like Willy under the quilt :p Seems like winters are going to be really harsh and cold this time brrrrr. Anyway today I’m going to review the best budget liquid liner available in India which is of great quality and comes with the best brush I’ve used till date. It is Lakme Absolute Shine Line in the shade Black.

Packaging
The liner comes in a cylindrical black tube with a mettalic cap. You can fit it in the thinnest of clutches making it travel friendly. The liner comes with a thin and fine brush with a long handle which helps in lining the thinnest of lines. Its the best liner brush I’ve ever used and applies well even in a single coat. I’ve repurchased it atleast 5 times so you can imagine how much I love the ease it provides. However,the tube is opaque so you cannot tell how much product is left  🙁

Consistency, Finish & Pigmentation
Lakme Absolute Shine Line has the perfect consistency. It is neither too thick nor runny. The liner dries up super fast(in 15 secs or less) which is great for someone like me who has very watery eyes. It is highly pigmented and a single stroke gives a dark black shade. I wouldn’t call it jet black as it sort of has a greyish hue once it dries up.

Absolute Shine Line? Makes you think it’d have a a gorgeous shine like glossy finish no? Well this couldn’t be far from the truth. Even the SA sold it to me as a glossy liner when I first bought it but the fact is that it dries to a pure matte finish which I quite like.

Staying Power & Removal
I’ve read many reviews where people have given it a negative rating because of its staying power which really surprises me as this tends to last forever on me. I’ve worn this to college, functions and even marriages and this hasn’t budged one bit.Though one thing that is super annoying is how it cracks up a bit after a few hours.

It is water resistant and survives mild rubbing under the watering. It has never smudged in the humid Delhi summers on me and can be easily removed with a mild eyemakeup remover.
