Packaging
The new Lakme matte lipsticks come in cylindrical, silver plastic tubes, packed in a silver cardboard box. The box has all the necessary information like the list of ingredients, expiry date, price, etc. The cap is transparent with Lakme Enrich Matte written on it. On closing the tube, the cap makes a click sound so you know the cap will not disorient in your makeup bag. The packaging is very similar to the Lakme Enrich Satin Lipsticks but the matte ones have a silver matte sleeve to distinguish them.

Shades:
They have launched 20 new shades, all bright and vibrant. The Lakme Enrich Matte range covers majority of the color spectrum from reds, oranges, pinks, purples and browns. They do have a strong floral fragrance which might bother those with a sensitive nose. The shades do not have names but numbers. I tested out the following Lakme Enrich Matte Shades; RM 13 (red matte), OM 10 (orange matte), PM 11 (pink matte) and WM 10 (wine matte).

Texture & Pigmentation
The Lakme matte lipsticks are very soft and glide on the lips like butter. These are very creamy and settle into a complete matte finish within a few minutes. The lipsticks do not dry out the lips and are very comfortable to wear. The darker colors give full pigmentation in 1-2 swipes. While, the lighter colors like orange and pink need an extra swipe.

Staying Power
The colors did stay on the lips for a good 4 hours. With eating and drinking, some color fades off from the inner part of the lips. The lipstick does end up settling into the lip lines after a few hours hence exfoliation before application is recommended. To remove the lipstick, a baby wipe or a makeup remover would work fine. For 300 bucks, the quality is pretty good.

High in pigment, they stay put for about 4-5 hours before it starts feathering. I had a great experience with them and i totally recommend them if you are looking for good matte lipsticks in India.
