Packaging
One of the first things that impressed me about the Lakme Perfect Radiance Serum was the packaging and sadly that ended up disappointing me the most! Its has this rotating pump mechanism which you use to rotate out the pump and then rotate it to the other side to close it. Its very different and gives that luxurious feel. However, after 2-3 times of usage the pump just stops working . Ofcourse, I complained to the brand about it and they instantly sent me a new piece. And guess what? That too stopped working in 2 days! I don’t know if this is an issue with all the pieces or this particular batch but do make sure to check out the pump before buying it.

So anyhoo, I had to break the bottle in order to use it and test it out. If I wasn’t so obsessed with serums, I wouldn’t have even bothered with the trouble, I tell you! Though I’m glad I did because I ended up liking it alot *_*

Texture
The Lakme Perfect Radiance Intense Whitening Serum is baby pink in color and has a very lightweight consistency. You require a small quantity for usage which get easily absorbed into the skin. Those with dry skin will definitely need to follow it up with the Perfect Radiance Whitening Cream for adequate moisturization. However, those with combi-oily skin type will love it as it does not make the face oily or sweaty.

Efficacy
I was a bit apprehensive about it’s claims as I am with all products that claim to “whiten” or “lighten” the skintone. Its not possible to lighten one’s skintone but yes it’d be great if a product gives a more even toned and healthy complexion.

The Lakme Perfect Radiance Serum definitely adds a luminous radiance upon application and my skin looks more fresh and glowing. It does not give a white cast however I haven’t noticed any lightening of the slight pigmentation I have around my chin. The serum would’ve been perfect had it worked on reducing dark spots 🙁

1) A serum with a lightweight texture which absorbs easily into the skin
2) Does not make the skin oily or sweaty
3) Adds radiance and luminosity to the face
4) My skin feels softer and smoother ever since I’ve started using the serum
5) Did not break me out
6) Has a light floral fragrance

Cons
1) Does not make a prominent difference in lightening dark spots
2) The pump was faulty and I really hope it was an issue with only my piece.

HBM Recommendation: Lakme Perfect Radiance Intense Whitening Serum has a lightweight consistency which absorbs easily into the skin. It does not feel heavy and neither does it make my face oily. The serum adds radiance to my face and makes my at times sallow complexion look much more healthier. However, I did not notice a major difference in lightening of dark spots but I still think its a great option for those on the lookout for a lightweight serum in India.
