I have always been fascinated about using argan oil for hair, though I never gave it a try because a) I rarely found any interesting serum based on argan oil and b) the ones I liked were really expensive and I kept putting off the purchase. So, when our own Indian brand Livon launched Moroccan Silk Serum which is lists argan oil as a key ingredient, I knew I had to try it. And using it over a month now, here is what I have to say about this serum.

Packaging
Livon Moroccan Silk Serum comes housed in an outer cardboard box which is scripted with all the information you would probably need to know about this product. Though it is nice to have knowledge about the product what makes me skeptical is the quantity of Argan Oil actually used in the serum. I think if a brand is promoting its product based on a particular element then it is important they list the quantity too in the ingredients list.

Moving past, the outer box, Livon Moroccan Silk Serum is packed neatly in a light pink tinted, see- through bottle with a pump nozzle, which is the most practical way to use serums. The plastic bottle is sturdy and I find it travel friendly too, no leakage or spilling of the product.

Texture
Livon Moroccan Argan Oil Silk Serum is a light weight concoction and does not feel sticky or greasy when applied.  It instantly gets absorbed into my dry & frizzy hair. It has a very mild scent to it but I am unable to put my finger on what exactly it smells of. To me, its very typical hair serum fragrance which fades eventually after an hour or so.

Does Livon Moroccan Silk Serum live upto its claim? It does detangle my hair, makes it smooth to touch and gives lustrous shine to it. But my issue with it is that, all this is very short lived. If I am headed out in sun for the day after applying this serum, the shine vanishes after a few hours. It still manages to control frizz for an entire day but I do end up with fly aways here and there. But again, no hair serum till now has managed to curb my unruly fly aways (baby hair as many call it) near the temple of my forehead, so I am not complaining much about it at this price.

1) It does not really tame the unruly fly aways or baby hair
2) When exposed to sun for longer hours, the shine & smoothness seems to get vanished
3) It is supposed to contain Argan Oil but it is not listed about how much percent of it is included
