How to get beachy wavy hair: L’Oreal Professional Wild Stylers Beach Waves Texturizing Hair Spray Review, Price & Buy India
My hair woes never end and I’m ready to talk about them all over again :p While I have naturally wavy hair and beachy wavy hair has been a trend on the runways for quite a bit of time now but I still haven’t embraced my hair’s natural state and prefer straightening them. Why you ask? Simply because they are unmanageable and frizzy. When L’Oreal Professional launched their Techni.Art Wild Stylers Beach Wave Hair Spray in India, I thought to myself, finally a product that might make me love my waves and make them look pretty. Read on to know if it managed to do that or not 🙂

Packaging
The L’Oreal Beach Waves Hair Spray comes in a cylindrical plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. The pump has a lock mechanism which can be used during travel thereby preventing leakage. I always prefer hair styling products in a pump form as it is much more convenient. Its spritzes a fine mist which coats the hair evenly.

The product claims to provide an after beach effect with a matte finish. I have dry, naturally wavy and extremely unmanageable hair so in all fairness to the product, this wasn’t supposed work well for me. As it not only provides more texture which is exactly what I don’t need but salt sprays also tend to make the hair drier. Since I have very, very dry hair, I used it a few days after washing my hair when my hair gets a bit oily.
What I usually do is divide my hair into sections, spritz a good amount of the L’Oreal Beach Waves Spray then roll them into buns and keep it overnight. The next morning, I wake up to voluminous, tousled, beachy waves which looks oh so perfect!! Then I spray some more product to make the waves last longer. The L’Oreal Professional Hair Spray definitely controlled the frizz and defined my waves better. However, it also added quite a bit of volume ( yay for fine hair) and made my hair dry.

The spray doesn’t make the waves hold longer which is a big bummer. I could probably get a similar effect by braiding my wet hair overnight so I wasn’t too pleased with it. However, those with fine hair would love the texture it adds and could be great for adding volume. The L’Oreal Techni.art Spray has a sweet scent with some coconut notes to it. It is a bit strong but the smell dissipates once the product dries.
The L’Oreal Professional Beach Waves Salt Spray is definitely not suitable for people with thick and dry hair for obvious reason. If you have fine and limp hair and want to add more texture and light waves then this could work well for you!
Pros of L’Oreal Beach Waves Hair Spray
1) Lightweight and easy to apply
2) Does not make the hair crunchy
3) Adds texture to the hair
4) Added more definition to my hair
5) Controlled the frizz to a certain extent
6) Great for fine and limp hair
7) The bottle is pretty and convenient to use
Cons of L’Oreal Beach Waves Hair Spray
1) Does not help in making the waves last longer
2) Since the product contains alcohol, it tends to make the hair a bit dry
HBM Rating
HBM Recommendation: L’Oreal Professional Wild Stylers Beach Waves Hair Spray is great for adding texture and certainly helps in getting the tousled beach waves with a matte finish. However, it does nothing for making the waves hold longer and makes the hair a bit dry. If you have fine hair then you’ll love it for the extra volume it adds but if you’re expecting well defined waves that last on and on then you’ll be disappointed.
