MAC Cremesheen Ravishing Lipstick Review, Swatches, Price & Buy India
One of my biggest dreams when I started dabbling into makeup was owning MAC Lipsticks. Back then the brand used to be the ultimate luxury for any makeup addict. Now that I own quite a few of these babies, I still want more of them despite the soaring prices. There is a certain charm about owning a MAC lipstick which I guess will never get old for me. Today, I am going to review a very pretty and subtle color perfect for the season called MAC Ravishing Lipstick.

Packaging
The MAC Cremesheen Ravishing Lipstick is packaged in a typical black bullet with the shade name being mentioned on the bottom. The lipstick is packaged in a black cardboard box which mentions all the necessary details like the date of expiry, shade name, price etc. Since this is a cremesheen finish, the lipstick has started to melt a bit in the summers so I probably wouldn’t suggest taking this out in the heat.
Texture
The MAC Ravishing Lipstick has a very smooth and creamy formula which applies easily. It does not tug or pull like the Retro Matte formula and I find it quite moisturizing. That said, it can settle into fine lines and accentuate them so its best to apply this over well exfoliated lips. The lipstick provides a luminous finish which is not too glossy but just perfect.
Shade
MAC ravishing is described as a clean light peachy coral and its pretty close to the description. Its a peachy nude leaning slightly towards a coral. The color can be a bit ashy for warmer skintone and suitable only for pale to fair complexion. I’m NC 30 in MAC and I can just about carry it off without it looking too pale on me. It looks gorgeous when paired with bold smokey eyes.
MAC Ravishing Lipstick Dupes: L’Oreal Rouge Caress Lipstick in Dating Coral is a close dupe but more sheer in pigmentation. Faces Glam On Lipstick in Barely There is another close dupe but more opaque and slightly more pink. Elle 18 Color Boost Lipstick in Coral Nude is similar but a wee bit paler.
Pigmentation & Staying Power
MAC Lipstick in Ravishing has a semi opaque finish in a single swipe. The pigmentation can be built up in 2-3 swipes but it is not completely opaque. The lipstick will cover moderate lip pigmentation well. As for the wear time, being a lighter and creamier formula it stays put for about 3-4 hours on me depending on the amount I drink or eat. I find the staying power decent for the consistency.

HBM Recommendation: MAC Ravishing Lipstick is a gorgeous peachy nude, perfect for everyday wear or to be paired with bold eyes. The formula is moisturizing and stays put for a good 3-4 hours which is decent for the creamy texture. It can be a bit tricky for warmer skintones so I recommend trying this out at the store before buying it.
