Makeup Trends at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week SS15
Hello Everyone,
I got to attend the Wills India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2015 this year and had an absolute blast. The energy at Pragati Maidan was out of this world and I enjoyed every moment of the frenzy and excitement. Sleeping late to publish a post to waking up early and fussing about my clothes and not charging my power bank was all worth it and I totally miss the excitement. Anyhoo, I kept you updated about my outfits and my favorite collection on Instagram and if you aren’t already following me on IG then you’re seriously missing out on alot.
I shall be posting my favorite shows and collections soon but for now lets decode the makeup trends that ruled the runway.
Though I couldn’t find the time or energy to attend Day 1(thanks to my no carb diet) but I loved the electric blue eyes and the bright pink lips created by Mickey Contractor, Director of Makeup Artistry, M.A.C India for Tarun Tahiliani. Its perfect for grabbing attention at any party and the soft neutral cheeks complimented the look beautifully!
On WIFW Day 1, I absolutely loved the pop of orange seen at Not So Serious By Pallavi Mohan. The neutral eyes with a pop of orange played up beautifully with the pristine whites and nudes along with clean silhouettes of the collection.
On day 2 , Sonic Sarwate, Global Senior Artist, M.A.C India created beautiful neutral eyes with a hint of smudged kohl on the upper lashline with a dash of mascara. The beautifully bronzed cheeks along with nude lips went well with the feminine and elegant collection by Manish Gupta and the floral inspired pristine collection by Samant Chauhan. Rajputana By Samant Chauhan was an absolute delight to watch on the runway and the show stopper was breathtaking!
On day 3 of WIFW SS 2015, the bold smokey eyes with neutral-nude lips ruled the day. The look created by Mickey Contractor for designer Rajesh Pratap Singh‘s collection was magnificent. The inspirational play of denim khadi was perfectly complimented with the classic bold eyes and neutral cheeks
On day 4, there was a splash of color created by Sonic Sarwate for Dev r Nil & Urvashi Kaur’s shows. The bright orange “flaming” wings with bronzed cheeks and nude lips created an amazing effect and it totally makes me want to experiment with orange liners.
WIFW Day 5 saw Rohit Bal unveil his collection ‘Gulbagh’ inspired by the flora of Kashmir. The intense brown smokey eyes paired with peachy neutral lips looked sizzling on the models.
Stay tuned for all the top fashion trends and my favorite collections from Wills Lifestyle Indian Fashion Week Spring Summer 2015 which is coming up in the next few days!
