Is it just me or this year seems to be quite slow compared to the previous year in terms of new launches. Earlier, brands used to launch product after product, week after week. However, Maybelline is still churning out some amazing new ranges including their new eyeshadows. They recently launched The Blushed Nudes eyeshadow palette which is my favorite variant from all all their palettes launched in the west. I haven’t been a huge fan of their eyeshadows though I totally love their lip products! Read on to know if this managed to change my opinion or not.

Packaging
The Maybelline Blushed Nudes Palette is a rose gold gorgeousness. It is a sleek compact casing with a see through lid on top. On the bottom of the palette, the shades are clubbed into quads, trios and duos for easy usage by beginners. This is a nice feature as the eye charts can be very helpful for a novice when it comes to color combination. The palette comes with a double ended applicator with one side having the sponge and the other with the brush bristles. It is not of the best quality but can be used for a touch up.

Shades & Texture
The new Maybelline eyeshadow palette has a nice blend of pinks, taupes and purples. It’s a beautiful palette with gorgeous feminine shades perfect for some soft romantic looks. The palette majorly has a shimmer finish with 2 matte colors. The Blushed Nudes Palette is a mixed bag when it comes to the texture. However, most of the shades are smooth and blend well. These are not softest or the creamiest eyeshadows I’ve used but for the price I find the quality to be good. The shades blend well and do not lead to a lot of fallout.

Pigmentation & Staying Power
Maybelline The Blushed Palette is more suitable for neutral and softer looks hence the pigmentation works well. One gets a decent color pay off with a primer underneath though the lighter shades definitely require some effort. I feel its much better than the Maybelline Diamond Eyeshadow Quads in terms of pigmentation and staying power. It stays put for around 4-5 hours after which it starts creasing. However, both the pigmentation and wear time will disappoint you unless you use a good quality eyeshadow primer as a base.

It is perfect for someone who likes softer colors or needs a palette appropriate for office. I highly recommend this to beginners who are just starting to dabble with makeup as it is much easier to work with such neutral colors. Unlike the other new launches, the palette also hits the bulls eye when it comes to the price which is pretty affordable for an eyeshadow palette in India.

It isn’t the most highly pigmented or creamy palette but works well with a good primer or eyeshadow base underneath. If you’re someone who’s just getting into eye makeup or loves subtle looks then this is the one is for you.
