Maybelline India launched the Color Blur Pencils as Lip Gradation in India recently and are available in 8 shades. They also launched the Superstay 7 Days Gel Nail Color but more on that later. Here are all the swatches and shades of the new Maybelline Lip Gradation available in India.

Product Description
It’s time to experiment with your lip makeup. Available in 8 bright, matte shades, this double-sided lip product will inspire you to experiment with your looks. The color stick at one end will give a gorgeous pop of color while the cushion blender tool at the other end will give a sexy, graded look. For a complete trend-on look, apply color on the centre of your upper lip and use the sponge smudger to extend the color to the outer edges till the contours of your lips or use it as a matte lip color or a lip liner.
Maybelline Lip Gradation Pencils are very almost identical to the Color Blur Pencils but with a different name. Its a long slender pencil with a smudger on one end and the lip pencil on the other. The lip pencil is a hybrid between a lip liner and a chubby stick and is easy to line and fill in the lips. The product was inspired by the Korean ombre lip so you can create an ombre/gradient effect by smudging the lip color on the outer or inner part of the pout depending on your choice. I’m sure you all have been hearing some amazing things about this launch but personally I’m not too impressed. But first here are the Maybelline Lip Gradation Swatches & Shades. Do not that all the shades have a comfortable matte finish.
Maybelline Lip Gradation Pink 2: This bright raspberry pink kind of reminds me of MAC All Fired Up. It will compliment all skintones.
Maybelline Lip Gradation Pink 1: A beautiful mid toned pink, nothing unique about the color but definitely a flattering shade.
Maybelline Lip Gradation Coral 1: A true coral pink which is just perfect for summers!
Maybelline Lip Gradation Fuchsia 1: A blue based pink ie the perfect fuchsia pink!
Maybelline Lip Gradation Mauve 1: Most certainly not a mauve, this is a brown nude lip color which will flatter fair to medium skintones but might look a bit muddy on some.
Maybelline Lip Gradation Orange 1: A medium reddish orange.
Maybelline Lip Gradation Red 2: A beautiful tomato red which will please all red lovers
Maybelline Lip Gradation Red 1: A muddy red which seems to be a subtle version of Faces Midnight Rose & MAC Chilli.
The concept of the Maybelline Lip Gradation Pencils is unique and interesting. There isn’t any product in India which caters to the ombre lip. However, the shades didn’t excite me at all. I already own such shades in my stash and none were unique. Plus, the biggest drawback was its quantity. The lip pencil is so small and I’m pretty sure it would get over soon. I could not find the quantity mentioned anywhere on the product but after some research I found out that its 0.04 ounces which is roughly 1.13gms. Paying 500 bucks for Maybelline for that quantity is way too high and is almost equal to the price of a MAC Lipstick.
Maybelline has been one of my most favorite brands due to the good quality yet affordable pricing however this year I’ve been noticing the prices aren’t really justified be it the Fit Me powders, blushes or this particular product. In the end I didn’t pick up any color due to the low quantity and the common shades as I didn’t find it worth the price tag. What’s your take on the new Maybelline Lip Gradation Pencils? Do let me know below 🙂

oooh here come the swatches. am so intrigued by this midnight rose shade. i can't find it anywhere here. And i also like how you've broken down the cost effectiveness in terms of a brand like maybelline pricing things at 500 per pop.hmmm good thinking
Its available on Nykaa!
I was quite surprised when I saw the testers. Such low quantity for the price, I just couldn't justify buying it!
Bravo, Lee. This is exactly what I look for in a review. Bang for the buck.
Except that mauve shade none of the lippies appealed to me cuz the shade range is very limited... You can easily find lookalike shades in Maybelline and others drugstore brands at a much reasonable price... And actually I would like to add that when I first saw these being launched everyone on IG and fb went on going gaga bout it and looking at that I thought yesss I need to try these too... But thankfully you did this post and looking at all the swatches and the info you've given I'll pass these...
Same here, I did quite like the nude but I'd rather get a full sized lipstick in this price.
Yeah, everyone's been raving about it but sadly I wasn't that impressed.
i had been waiting for these to release in India but whats with the names. Where is the cherry & plum shade??
I know, right?
Can you show a tutorial on gradient lips with this item?
I didn't buy it as I wasn't so impressed!
I was excited, but after looking at the shades excitement died. Where is that Wine/burgundy shade. Haven't bought it yet. Thanks for the swatches.
I know, right? Though I love the nude but wasn't tempted to purchase it!
Red 1 is such a wintery shade!
I do adore that color!
The shades look very pretty. I like the look of mauve and red 1.
Yeah, the only ones I liked in this range.
Thanks for the honest and critical review...I was going to buy 2 shades of this range. Now I'm seriously rethinking !!
I just didn't find it worth the money!
have been hearing mixed kinda reviews...loved red2 and pink 2... will check carefully before buying <3 Thanks for compiling all the swatches Lisha !! :)
My pleasure Anurima :)
I have bought Pink 2 and Mauve, loving both the shades. Thanks for the swatches Lisha :)
Great!
