New Beauty & Makeup Product Launches in India: January 2016
Hey Girlies,
2016 has started off on a great note for us at HBM (more deets soon) and we’re always striving to get you the best and fresh content. We’re starting a new monthly segment this year to help you keep abreast with the latest and most happening launches in the beauty world. For now, this is limited to only makeup and nail products but we might branch out to skincare and haircare as well if you guys are interested. Here are the latest product launches of January 2016.
Though this was technically launched at the end of December 2015 but it reached most stores in January. The Maybelline Fit Me range includes Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundations (Price: Rs 525), Fit Me Concealers (Rs 500), Fit Me Blushes (Price: Rs 400) & Fit Me Powders (Price: Rs 475). You can click on any of the product names for the detailed reviews or swatches. The range has been a hit and miss mainly due to the lack of warmer shades in the range.
Launched in 7 shades, all the colors are shimmery or glittery. From pale champagne to intense blues and black this range contains some good basic colors. Though the price seems a bit high but the Colorbar eyeshadow sticks come in a retractable form, hence if the staying power is good it might just be worth it!
This claims to be a matte, smudge, water and heat proof formula. I found it to be semi matte with an intense jet black finish. However, it isn’t smudge proof or waterproof but its a decent everyday liquid liner. Detailed review here.
Claims to be the perfect everyday base product for the working woman with its lightweight finish and matte finish. I recently checked this out at the Lakme counter but was left disappointed. Not only do the shades look very similar to each other but I find the coverage to be almost negligible.
This latest launch by Maybelline India has the entire blogosphere buzzing. It helps create an ombre lip with the smudger attached to the lip pencil on the other end. While I found it a bit expensive for the quantity provided but it might be checking out because of the unique packaging and concept. Available in 8 shades, you can check the Maybelline Lip Gradation Swatches here.
If you’re looking for a primer to keep your face matte all day long and help your base last longer then this might be the one for you. It has a very soft balm-y texture which blends easily and like the name suggests gives a matte finish. It also claims to minimize pores to a great extent.
So many brands have launched their version of a gel nail polish over the past few year but none have really gotten it right. Maybelline too joined the bandwagon this month with their new range of gel nail paints in 24 beautiful pastel shades which claims to stay put for 7 days. A bit expensive coming from Maybelline but if it stays put for a week I wouldn’t mind shelling out moolah for this.

I am happy that maybelline has launched the raved product from US I hope so this continues. :)
Same here but I'd like to see them launching a bigger shade range.
This is a nice monthly series to keep on track with the latest launches in the beauty world... Looking forward to a post on new launches in skincare and hair care as well :)
Thanks Archana. Will look at including those too!
That revlon primer is so pricey. I tried it at the store and it felt full of silicones, it actually felt like the colorbar primer but in a balm form. I found the maybelline nail polishes pricey but after seeing this list I think they might be the only promising product to invest in.
I agree! I love the Colorbar Primer, its like the benefit porefessional minus the breakouts.
Haven't bought the nail paints yet but the mint shade is calling out to me.
Thanks for the info girl! Really looking forward to Revlon Anti Shine balm and Maybelline gel nail polishes :)
Let me know if you pick them up :)
Maybelline Lip Gradation is really a nice innovation!
I like the concept but find it a bit pricey!
There were a lot of amazing launched this Jan. I have lots more to try out.
Yes, looking forward to an equally exciting February!
