New Lakme Eyeconic Kajal 22Hr Review, Swatches, Price & Buy Online India
Brands seem to be on a roll when it comes to reformulating/revamping kajal these days. Not a surprise though considering how competitive the market for kajals or kohls is in India. Even a girl who does not enjoy wearing makeup, mostly never leaves her house without a dash of kajal on her eyes. Recently, Lakme launched the new Eyeconic Kajal in black which claims to last upto 22 hours instead of 10 hours like its predecessor. Read on to know how well it performs as per its claims.

Packaging
The new Lakme Kajal is packaged almost identically to the older one. It is a slim retractable pencil with the shade mentioned on the bottom to distinguish it from the other Lakme colored kajals. I love the fact that Lakme has managed to keep the price very affordable yet provide a retractable packaging that prevents wastage due to sharpening. However, I do wish they start color coding the kajal as I always have a hard time finding a particular color while getting ready in the morning, especially in a hurry.
Best Black Kajal in India: Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Review
Shade
I have always found Lakme Eyeconic to be the best kajal in India in terms of the color and pigmentation. The new variant too doesn’t disappoint in this department either. It’s jet black in color, almost identical to the older Lakme kajal. The kajal also makes for a great eyeshadow base to make the eyesahdows pop especially with a smokey eye makeup.

Texture & Pigmentation
The new Lakme Eyeconic Kajal 22hr has a very smooth and creamy texture. It glides easily onto the lids and does not break even in the hot weather. The pigmentation is superb and a single swipe gives an intense black finish. It shows up easily on the waterline and I find it a hint more pigmented than the Maybelline Colossal Kajal.
Staying Power
The big difference in the old and new Lakme Eyeconic Kajal seems to be the staying power as marketed by the brand. Well I certainly do not have the will power to apply it for 22 hours and test it, however it does stay put for a good amount of time. To be honest, there isn’t a major difference in the old and the new one. The kajal is smudge proof and waterproof for about 8 hours after which it starts to smudge.
New Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Swatches & Review
Overall, its one of the best affordable kajals in India. I wasn’t able to judge a big difference between the old and the new Lakme Eyeconic Black Kajal and I’m glad the price wasn’t increased despite the makeover of the product as is the case with most ranges.

HBM Rating
4 / 5(Reviewed by Lisha B.)New Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Review, Swatches, Price & Buy Online India
HBM Recommendation: The new Lakme Eyeconic Kajal is jet black in color which shows up beautifully on the eyes. It stays put for a good amount of time and has a very smooth texture. Even though the 22hr claim seems a bit hyped, I still highly recommend it as it still is one of the best kajals available in India.

nice kajal....Lakme has really nice pdts...I wish there pdts were avlb out of india as well
The fact that it stays for 8 hours without smudging is quite good.
The fact that its almost similar to the old one does excite me enough... I have tried the new Maybelline kajal and I am really impressed with it. Though they have increased the price a bit but the quality and the formula is better for sure..
