NYX Butter Gloss Cherry Pie Review, Swatches & Buy in India
Hello Beauties!
Tell me one thing. If you had to choose one lip product (more like type) ,what would it be? I’m not such a huge fan of lipsticks, lip pencils, lip crayons, etc If I had to choose one lip product that I had to use all my life then it’d surely be a gloss. Nothing really beats a soft lip color with a glossy finish plus I love the ease of application I get with a doe foot applicator. One of my favorite glosses are the NYX Butter Glosses! I have already reviewed NYX Butter Gloss Strawberry Parfait which is more suitable for lighter skintones but today I’m going to review Cherry Pie which will look amazing across all complexions.

Packaging
The NYX Butter Glosses come in an opaque and color coded lip gloss packaging. I love the fact that these are color coded as it eases identification since I own a quite a few of the NYX Butter Glosses. This comes with a sponge doe foot applicator which is of good quality and applies the product easily.
Shade
NYX Butter Gloss in Cherry Pie is a gorgeous cherry red which will look gorgeous on every skintone. This will be quite flattering on the warm Indian complexion and will go well with most outfits. NYX Cherry Pie is a wearable red gloss since its not highly pigmented.

Texture
These NYX Butter Glosses have a thick and silky texture which is a wee bit sticky. It is not uncomfortable but yes stickier than most of the glosses I’ve used till date. It gives a mirror shine to the lips thus making your pout look ‘oh so luscious’ and desirable. Due to the glossy finish it gives a fuller appearance to lips which I love.
Pigmentation
Most of the NYX Butter Glosses have a sheer to buildable coverage. Cherry Pie being a darker color gives a good color pay off in 1- 2 coats. I love glosses which aren’t highly pigmented yet gives moderate coverage.
Staying Power
Since the NYX Butter Gloss have slightly sticky texture these stay put for a good amount of time for a gloss. Cherry Pie lasts upto 3-4 hours on me but less with snacks or drinks. Ofcourse, I can’t starve myself so I need touch it up after a couple of hours.
Pros
1) A beautiful tomato red which will flatter all skintones
2) A buttery and smooth texture which is quite hydrating
3) Gives a fuller and juicer appearance to the pout
4) Decent staying power for a gloss
5) Super affordable!
6) Comes in a great variety of shades
7) NYX Butter Glosses have a yummy warm vanilla scent which will make you yearn for a dessert.
Cons
1) It is not highly pigmented hence no suitable for pigmented lips
2) Not easily available in India

HBM Recommendation: NYX Butter Gloss in Cherry Pie is a beautiful and wearable red gloss which will suit all complexions. It has a comfortable and hydrating texture and gives a beautiful glossy finish. If you love reds or want to experiment with reds then this is the one for you!
