Packaging
The NYX Butter Glosses come in an opaque and color coded lip gloss packaging. Since I own a quite a few of these the color coded packaging helps alot in choosing a color in an hurry. This comes with a sponge doe foot applicator which applies the product well.

Shade
To be honest as soon as I swatched Strawberry Parfait, I regretted buying it as its so not my type of color. Its a mauvey pink which usually makes me look sick but surprisingly this looks quite good with a heavy eye makeup. However, this shade will only suit those with a light to fair complexion and will most definitely wash out most of the Indian ladies.

Texture
These NYX Butter Glosses have a thick and creamy texture which is a bit sticky. It is not uncomfortable but yes stickier than most of the glosses I’ve used till date. It gives a mirror shine to the lips thus making your pout look ‘oh so luscious’ and desirable. Due to the glossy finish it gives a fuller appearance to lips which I love.

Pigmentation
Most of the NYX Butter Glosses have a sheer to buildable coverage. Strawberry Parfait gives a good wash of color in 2-3 coats. Its subtle enough to be worn to college or work and will not beg for attention like most of the bold shades I buy 😀

Staying Power
Due to the slightly sticky texture these do stay put for a good amount of time for a gloss. Strawberry Parfait lasts upto 3 hours on me without any snacks or drinks. Ofcourse, I usually can’t starve myself so I need touch it up after a couple of hours.

BTW the NYX Butter Glosses have a yummy warm vanilla scent which makes me yearn for a dessert.
Pros
1) A mauvey pink lipgloss which will look beautiful on lighter skintones
2) A buttery and smooth texture which is quite hydrating
3) Gives a fuller and juicer appearance to the pout
4) Decent staying power for a gloss
5) Super affordable! Oh gosh why can’t Indian brands come with such affordable products 🙁
6) Comes in a great variety of shades
Cons
1) It is sheer hence not suitable for pigmented lips
2) The texture is slightly sticky
3) Not easily available in India
HBM Rating
HBM Recommendation: NYX Butter Gloss Strawberry Parfait is a sheer mauvey pink which is great for lighter skintones. The staying power is good and so is the texture. However the only issue is the color which won’t suit many complexions and ofcourse the availability in India. For Indian skintones, I certainly recommend the darker shades as they are great value for money!
