OOTD: Breaking Monochrome!
Indian Fashion Blog: OOTD- Breaking Monochrome
Hi Girlies,
Its been too long since I last did an outfit post. Ok Ok! Not that long but I have been meaning to post this much earlier and somehow things kept getting delayed. Unlike the mystical outfit that I wore the last time, I decided to go a bit more glamorous yet different for the outfit today. I am rocking 2 of my favorite trends- monochrome and neon together and I beleive they compliment each other beautifully! The dress that I chose to wear is one of my favorite semi casual dresses and I recently wore this to an event In Mumbai however I didn’t like the pics that were clicked that day hence I shot it again.
I’ve already shown this fabulous houndstooth print dress with a black mesh yoke. Houndstooth is a duo tone textile pattern characterized by broken checks often in black and white. The houndstooth print looks absolutely amazing when it comes to pants, skirts, dresses and even crop tops so it is no wonder that I own many variations of it in my closet.
I love the fact that dress is chic but not too dress-y hence does not end up looking formal. It’s extremely comfortable and fits me like a glove. What I love the most is that the dress is fitted but not tight thus looks extremely flattering on me(even if I say so myself!). The mesh yoke adds the much required oomph factor and offers a lightweight stretch along with a side zipper.
I broke the monotony of black and white with my favorite neon accessories- geometrical danglers along with a clutch which has also been featured here. Since I was aiming for a retro/glamorous vibe I wore a pair of black pumps with a little bling. Its one of my favorite pair of heels but darn they are extremely uncomfortable!
The neon clutch and statement ring were also featured here. Isn’t it obvious how obsessed I am with these accessories?!
Going with the retro look I had in my mind, I parted my hair to the side with natural waves. I wanted to go bold with a bright red pout hence kept my eyes soft with just a winged liner, neutral eyeshadow and lots of mascara. I contoured my cheeks prominently and highlighted my face to complete my makeup. Incase you are wondering about my lip color then let me tell you that it is not MAC Ruby Woo but NYX Matte Lipcream in Amsterdam
