OOTD: Suit Up!
Indian Fashion Blog- OOTD: Suit Up!
While I would describe my personal style as casual yet chic which majorly consists of summer dresses and shorts but I also love to experiment with different looks and styles. The major inspiration behind today’s outfit has been a classic and timeless watch sent across to me by Daniel Wellington. It just got me thinking over how I could do justice to the minimalistic yet stylish piece and I could hear Barney Stinson screaming in my ear to ‘Suit Up’ ๐
Power Dressing is a concept that has always intrigued me right from my school days. While luckily, I’ve never had to work under a strenuous corporate environment thanks to my career choice but unluckily that also meant I never got the chance to wear formals and feel like a boss ( B-| ) hence I was extremely excited to do this look.
Ofcourse, power dressing or wearing formals can also be really boring and there was no way I would let that happen ๐ Here is how you can pep up your formals and wear them stylishly!
I paired my basic black jeggings (also featured here) with a beautiful pink ruffled top which not only added the much needed color but also a feminine touch to the look. Its quite a versatile piece that can be dressed down and worn with shorts or with formals like I have. I love the ruffles on the top since it hides the flab beautifully!
To complete the look and to get the “oh so proper and official” vibe going, I wore a structured and well fitted white blazer from Milanoo. It has slightly oversized shoulder pads which though subtle, compliments the fitted silhouette beautifully. It made me feel really sexy yet powerful ๐ Definitely one of my favorite pieces in my closet.
To accessorize the look, I naturally went for the Daniel Wellington Classic Bristol Lady Watch. It has a rose gold dial which not only adds to its sophistication but is bang on trend.
The best part about Daniel Wellington Watches is that their straps are interchangeable and you get the freedom to buy different straps to match all sorts of outfits. The Classic Bristol Lady will compliment casual looks equally which I shall show in my subsequent outfit posts ๐
To compliment the sophisticated outfit I chose to wear Addons Tear Shaped Danglers. It has a beautiful teal tear drop with smaller pale green beads around the periphery. It looks really elegant and contrasted well with the outfit. I truly cannot stop raving about Addons graceful designs and the great quality.
I can be classy and I’ll always be fabulous with my bows *_* I have been wearing this Zotiqq Gold Bow Ring to pretty much every event which should prove how much I love it as I get bored of wearing the same accessories easily. The reason why I’m so fond of this, barring the fact that it has a bow (duh), is because of the good finish and despite being unable to store it carefully, the ring has not oxidized! You must check out their site for some more gorgeousness <3
One thing that Iacked in my wadrobe was a well structured tote bag. My search ended with this beautiful black leather tote bag with gold detailing. It has a criss-cross pattern and is extremely spacious. The tote manages to carry pretty much my whole world in it, LOVE! ^_^ For shoes, I made up for the lack of heels in my last post with my sky high black pumps and were also featured here.
