Ever since the makeup bug bit me at the age of 14, I have tried almost every type of makeup products under the sun. 7 years of experience yet there was something I never paid much attention to- Liquid Concealers! I always felt they weren’t suitable for my heavy dark circles and the last thing I needed was to “illuminate” the darkness under my eyes. Well, I finally gave it a try with the Oriflame The One Concealer that I’ve been trying out for months now. I really liked the Oriflame The One Foundation for daily wear so lets see if this equally managed to impress me 🙂

Packaging
Oriflame The One Illuskin Concealers are packaged in transparent tubes with purple caps. It has a tiny nozzle which helps in controlling the amount of product to be squeezed. I quite like the packaging; unlike bulky jars and I tend to prefer taking this on my trips to save space. So much so I have kept one in my daily makeup pouch for touch-ups when I’m out!

Concealer Oriflame The One Review, Shades & Swatches

Texture
Oriflame The One Concealer is of a creamy consistency which is neither too thick nor runny. It does not settle into fine lines or crease at all which is totally amazing! Since I already suffer from fine lines its hard to find concealer which do not crease over time. The concealer does not feel too heavy and is just perfect for everyday wear.

Shades
So the major issue I’ve had with Oriflame’s base products especially Oriflame The One Powders has been the shade selection. Most of the shades have been too pale for Indian skin tone but luckily Oriflame The One Concealers did not let me down in that aspect. The One Concealers come in 3 different shades and will suit fair to medium skintone well! Nothing there for the dusky beauties and they must release another shade catering to them. Oriflame The One Illuskin Concealer Fair Light Swatch & Review: The perfect concealer for fair skin tones with a yellow undertone. This sadly won’t do much for your dark circles though!
Oriflame The One Illuskin Concealer Pink Nude Swatch & Review: Another concealer for fair skin tone but this one has a pink undertone.
Oriflame The One Illuskin Concealer Beige Nude Swatch & Review: The one that suits my under eye area the best. This is perfect for fair-medium skintone.

Coverage
Now most liquid concealers have a sheer coverage and every time I’ve tested them at the makeup counters, I was always left disappointed. The Oriflame Concealer surprisingly gives good coverage – sheer to medium and is perfect for everyday wear when you are aiming for most of your flaws to be concealed yet something that looks natural. Beige Nude covers the darkness around my chin quite well but does not adequately conceal my dark circles. I’m not complaining as I don’t like heavy duty concealers for daily wear. This is definitely the best liquid concealer for everyday use out there in the market.

Finish & Staying Power
Like claimed, it does brighten up my under eye area but doesn’t not “illuminate” it which I’m glad about, to be very honest. I have never gotten the concept of shimmer under your eyes which almost always ends up looking horrific. Oriflame The One Concealer gives a healthy satin finish which I’m really liking this winters. It stays put for about 5-6 hours without powder which is pretty darn decent. Do note, that I’ve tested this in winters and the wear time might be lower in summers.
