Oriflame has launched several pastel to bold shades of nail polishes in The ONE range. I got the opportunity to try the shade- Purple In PARIS which I will review and swatch today. I love bold shades like black, deep purple etc. and seeing the color of this nail polish, my first impression was quite good. They claim it to be long lasting so let’s check how it fared on me.

Packaging
Oriflame The ONE nail polishes come in a glass bottle with a plastic grey colored cap. The cap is really tight and keeps the packaging travel friendly. The applicator brush is quite wide and larger than normal brushes of other nail paints. I found it a bit difficult to use during application on the inner corner of the nails due to the thick brush. But apart from that it provides precise strokes to give a smooth and even finish.

Consistency
The consistency of the Oriflame ONE Nail Polish Purple in Paris is a bit thick but creamy enough so it glides on nails easily without any issues. This particular shade imparts full color pay off in just single coat but I apply 2 coats to get a more deep and opaque finish. It is not a very quick drying nail polish though and takes time to dry like other nail polishes do.

Shade
Purple In Paris is a deep bold aubergine purple which will look lovely in the fall/winter season. The shade isn’t something I’d wear in the summers but those who love deep color nail paints will love it. The shade is also very versatile and it will suit most of the Indian skin tones as it makes the hands look brighter. This particular shade doesn’t contain any shimmer and gives a glossy finish after application.

Staying Power
Oriflame claims it to be a long lasting nail polish but I have to disagree. Oriflame The ONE Long Wear Nail Polish started chipping after two days from the outer ridge of the nails though I don’t do household work! It lasts better with a top coat though and despite the chipping part, the glossy finish stays for atleast 4-5 days.

1) Its a bit overpriced if compared with other nail polishes
2) Starts to chip after 2 days
