I am the laziest person when it comes to applying body lotions or body butters but thanks to my fluctuating weight, I need to make sure my body remains properly hydrated to avoid saggy skin or stretch marks. While, I love my TBS Body Butters but they are just too heavy (and expensive) for the hotter months. In comes, Palmer’s which has been my favorite budget body care brand that makes the most amazing products at super affordable prices. My tryst with the brand started with their Cocoa Butter and if you haven’t read my review already, then you really must so that you can understand why I love their products so much. The Palmer’s Firming Butter comes in an opaque tall bottle with a convenient pump dispenser. It has all the necessary details like the list of ingredients, product claims, expiry etc mentioned on it. Since the bottle is opaque, you might have a bit of an issue in knowing when you might be running out the lotion and need to buy another bottle. The pump dispenses the cocoa butter lotion easily and I have not faced an issue with it yet though I’ve already used up one bottle 🙂

The Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Firming Body Lotion has a slightly thick and creamy texture. When I first got the product, I thought I would be able to use it in summers but it was a little too hydrating for my normal skin so I ended up using it as an overnight body lotion and it worked very well that way. It is perfect to be used as a day lotion from October till the winter months and does not make the skin greasy.

The Palmer’s Body Lotion absorbs easily into the skin after some amount of massage. It has a very lovely warm-vanilla scent which is absolutely divine and makes me crave for a warm vanilla pudding. The smell can be a bit strong so if you are not into such scents then that might be a big con for you as the scent lingers on lightly even after application. I have been using this body lotion, on and off, for about 6 months and the reason that I took so long to review it is because I wanted to properly test out its claim of firming the skin and toning it.

Efficacy
While, I do not believe a body lotion or a cream alone can tone up your skin, however if you are someone who works out alot and is trying to lose weight then this product is an absolute must have for you. It not only properly hydrates the skin but it has made my skin much more smooth and soft. My stretch marks have lightened over time and it has definitely prevented new ones from forming even though I have been reducing & gaining weight drastically 😀

It helps maintain the elasticity of the skin and their Palmer’s Oil Therapy which is a like a dry oil works equally well in this aspect. This was the third product that I have tried form the brand and loved it as much as the other ones. Another great factor, is the price point. This one costs INR 520 for 315ml which is very easy on the pocket for such a great quality product and quantity. Most of their products are usually available on discount online. Makes me one happy bunny 😀
