When Sephora opened in Delhi last year every beauty junkie went a little crazy about it. I was equally happy about the news and all the amazing brands that would bring to India. The euphoria died down when I saw the prices but the Sephora line of products were priced much better. I love their bath and body range and had the hardest time choosing my picks. I finally settled on the Sephora Cotton Flower Smoothing Body Scrub which I shall be reviewing today.

Packaging
The Sephora Smoothing Body Scrub comes in a long bubble pink tube with a flip open cap. The tube is translucent so you can always tell when you’re about to run out of the scrub. I wouldn’t necessarily carry this tube with me while travelling just because it’ll take up alot of space but I’m sure this is spill proof.
Texture & Scent
This Sephora Scrub is light pink in color and has a light powdery scent. The scent is not too strong which sadly does not linger on for long. The exfoliating scrub is mild and gentle on the skin and effectively sloughs away dead skin. It has small granules which exfoliate the skin well.
Efficacy
I prefer using this in the colder months as its quite moisturizing and does not dry out my skin too much. Though I prefer something harsher for my elbows and knees. It makes my skin soft and smooth but I feel I end up using alot of quantity every time I use it. This hardly lasted me 2-3 months of weekly usage.
Price & Availability
The Sephora Smoothing Cotton Flower Scrub is only available at Sephora stores which are currently located only in Delhi though I hear they are opening one in Pune & Hyderabad soon. The price is a bit expensive for the quantity and I would’ve liked the scent to linger on a bit longer as well.

1) Has fine granules which exfoliate well
2) Makes the skin soft and smooth
3) Has a light powdery-floral scent
4) Does not dry out skin
5) Comes in a cute packaging
Cons
1) I prefer my body scrubs to be a bit harsher
2) The scent does not linger on a long time
3) I end using more product as compared to other body scrubs
4) Limited availability

HBM Recommendation: Sephora Smoothing Body Scrub ‘Cotton Flower’ has a lovely powdery-floral which sadly does not linger on. The scrub is mild and gentle while effectively removing dead skin. Its a decent product but not exactly a must have as I’ve used far better scrubs easily available in India.
