Best Body Butter For Dry Skin: TBS Chocomania Body Butter Review, Price & Buy Online India
For the most part, I try to avoid reviewing products unavailable or not easily available in India as I do not want to be cruel enough to tempt you when one does not have access to it. But forgive me ladies for I’m about to sin. I love this particular product soooooo much that I have to share it even though it was Limited Edition in India. I’m talking about the much raved and adored The Body Shop Chocomania Body Butter. I got this through a friend from the west late last year and I’ve been loving it this winters. But if you’re tempted by it because of the ‘chocolate’ scent then you must read on.

The TBS Body Butter Chocomania comes in a deep brown opaque tub with a screw on lid. Ofcourse, you have to dip in your fingers to scoop out the product which can be a bit unhygienic however the product is too thick to be packaged in any other packaging. The complete list of ingredients are mentioned at the bottom and I do feel the TBS tubs are too bulky to travel with hence its better to buy their travel sizes. What I usually do is that I clean out the travel size tub and re-fill it with whatever body butter that I’m currently using to travel with. Saves a whole lot of money as the travel sizes can be quite expensive!
Texture & Scent
The Body Shop Chocomania Body Butter has a super creamy and smooth texture which can feel a bit heavy initially. The key is to massage it well so that it absorbs into the skin and does not feel greasy. It feels just like butter and makes the skin amazingly soft. As for the scent, well this might be a minority opinion but it does not smell of chocolates at all to me 🙁
It has a warm scent which is more of a combination of chocolate + shea butter which though beautiful but is definitely not close to what dark chocolates smells like! Unlike the TBS Moringa Body Butter and many other variants, the scent dissipates after some time which is something I prefer! No one wanst to smell so warm and nutty all day, right? Or is it just me?
Efficacy
TBS Chocomania Body Butter is absolutely perfect for usage in winters. It is the best body butter for dry to very dry skin as it is extremely hydrating and luxurious. The nourishing formula instantly relives the skin of dryness and keeps it moisturized for a really long time, more than a day for sure. Due to that I would only recommend it for usage in winters as it is too rich for use in summers.
The 2 major cons for me are the price and availability. The brand keeps increasing its prices especially for limited edition ranges hence I switched to the much more affordable Palmer’s Body Butter. Secondly, the availability. TBS India brought this range in India a few years ago but I so hope they make it permanent as its definitely one of my favorite TBS products that I’ve ever used.

HBM Recommendation: Despite the high price tag, I can never stop myself from recommending TBS body butters. The Chocomania variant is a heavenly formula which is perfect for extremely dry skin this winters. Its long lasting and keeps the skin hydrated even in the harsh cold weather. If you have access to this range then you must give this a try especially if available under offer.

I agree that it doesn't smell like chocolate, I smelled it inside the shop and decided not to buy it and go for honeymania instead. The Body Shop body butters are very nourishing and not greasy but I have to agree that they are very expensive and you can find others with the same quality in a better price.

I thought it might smell like a chocolate mousse but it's a bummer in that case. It's a high time TBS should swtich to screw cap tube. Hygienic and if you want you can scoop out too. Great review!
