If I could change one thing about myself ,well there would be a 100 things but my sparse non existent lashes would probably top the list! I have tried N number of things- castor oil, lash growth serums, volumizing mascaras and finally falsies. Though false lashes looked great on me but they made my lids feel too heavy and don’t even get me started on how tricky it is to get the application right.

The Younique 3D Fiber Lash Mascara comes in a classy leather case in which the Transplanting Gel & Natural Fiber tubes are housed. I was pleasantly surprised by the luxurious packaging of the mascara which looks quite impressive. The Younique Transplanting & Natural Fiber Mascaras come in a sleek black tube with differing wand. The transplanting gel has a wand similar to that of an hourglass while the natural fiber mascara has a slim wand with natural green tea fibers. I find it hard to apply the transplanting gel in the inner corner and the wand should’ve been thinner on that end to ease application

How To Apply Younique 3D Fiber Mascara
The mascara comes with an instruction manual which states out the steps very clearly but I like to do things a bit differently. It guides you to first apply your regular mascara but I skip it and apply the transplanting gel as it is black in color and works as well as a regular mascara. Next, you apply the natural fibers while the transplanting gel is still wet so that they stick to it well. Usually a coat does a good job for me.
Next, seal it with another coat of the Transplanting Gel so that the fibers don’t fall off and get into your eye later on.

Does It Work?
To be completely honest, I did not have high expectations from the mascara and I felt it’d be just another over hyped product. The first time I applied I was stunned with the results! My tiny and sparse lashes looked so long, voluminous but clumpy. The next time I managed to get the fibers in my eye which was an extremely unpleasant experience.It took a bit of practice to master the art of applying it. Make sure you don’t apply the fibers too close to your lashline otherwise it might end up in your eye.

The Younique Moonstruck 3D Fiber Mascara made a tremendous difference to my lashes. It not only added quite a bit of volume but also lengthened my lashes alot! It takes less than 2 minutes to apply and I prefer it over falsies anyday! Yes it has its own list of drawbacks like the fibers getting in your eye unless you are careful but then I still do end up getting lash glue in my eye while applying falsies. Atleast after some trial and error I can easily apply the mascara unlike false lashes. The only issue is that it can easily clump and your lashes can quickly look like a spider’s legs unless you use a lash comb :p

This lasts the whole day without the fibers getting into my eyes. I tend to rub my eyes throughout the day and it never irritated me. I always use a baby oil to remove the mascara along with rest of the makeup and have faced no issue. It claims to be easily removable by warm water and face wash but I haven’t given that a try so can’t comment on it.

Overall, this a is a great quality product which delivers on its high claims. Yes it is expensive but better priced compared to other high end fiber mascaras which honestly cost a bomb. Younique is currently available only in USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and shall been expanding operations in UK soon.

HBM Recommendation: Younique Moonstruck 3D Fiber Lash Mascara is an absolute godsend for me. It manages to make my short and sparse lashes look dense and adds alot of length and volume. It gives a similar effect to that of falsies and is much easier to apply. It tends to clump a bit so unless you’re careful you might end up with spider legs for lashes . ha! Highly recommended for those who have sparse lashes or hate applying false lashes and want a similar effect with a mascara!
